[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to try this soundbar/bass unit setup from Samsung. They definitely set the standard for HD television and I assumed this product would be no different. After trying this out in my home for a week I can report that the soundbar portion of the setup is phenomenal with excellent sound reproduction across the range and a visually stunning design. The bass unit (connected wirelessly) leaves a lot to be desired, with random signal drops and poor sound quality. The Bluetooth interface for wireless devices seems like an after thought and the USB plug for music playback is buried underneath the bar making it inaccessible in my situation. Pros: 1. Sound reproduction of the Bar portion is amazing and worth the money to upgrade from basic television speakers 2. Ships with everything you need, from mounting brackets to HDMI cable and batteries for the remote 3. If you own a Samsung TV you are set, as this unit will fully integrate with your television 4. Works with the 3 TV remotes that I tried. I have Phillips, Sony and Sharp branded televisions and after turning on the any-remote feature all of them were able to control the soundbar without issues. 5. Styling and materials are top-end, the bar looks and sounds great! Cons: 1. The ferrite cores at the ends of the included HDMI cable make them almost impossible to plug-into the bar. I ended up using a few I had without the cores. 2. Set-up was a pain because the default setting for the bar is HDMI ARC and my TV wasn't receiving digital audio because I route everything through a tuner. Trying to get it to just HDMI took an act of congress. 3. You are expected to do the setup with a 4 character scrolling LED display that projects through a metal mesh covering. On-screen programming would be helpful. 4. All features aren't available unless you also have a Samsung TV 5. Bass unit is not even close to the quality of the soundbar I ended up using this unit as a replacement for my center-channel surround speaker, utilizing the digital optical port and setting it to standard audio output. It really delivers fantastic, room filling sound. I tested the 5.1 surround setting and it was equally impressive. If you are in the market for a soundbar this offering from Samsung would be an excellent choice even with its various setup issues.

I was able to unbox and set up in about 15 minutes because of the very easy set up. It is a great sound bar with a subwoofer for the surround sound. It adds a richness to the sound of the tv and make you feel like you are in the theater. I do recommend this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Samsung system (Q6CT 5.1 Channel Soundbar with 3D Surround Sound and Acoustic Beam) is great. From the time I opened the box to the time it was hooked up to the TV and playing was about 10 minutes. It is simple to hook up if you just follow the instructions and the sound is just awesome. I love that it has several presets for like gaming, standard, surround sound etc., so you can flip through the settings depending on what you're doing or watching. It also has a USB port on the soundbar itself, and you can connect wirelessly through bluetooth which is awesome! I have mine hooked up with the digital optical cable because my TV doesn't have the HDMI with ARC, just regular HDMI ports. It does come with an HDMI cable too, so if your TV has HDMI with ARC, you don't even have to go out and purchase any additional cables to hook it right up. The subwoofer is wireless and it synced up immediately so I didn't have to do anything other than select the preset sound I wanted and turn up the volume, but you can adjust the bass and treble individually too and you have a separate subwoofer volume control on the remote. Even the remote that comes with this system is nice and sleek, and it even includes the batteries. We just really like this system and how well it sounds and wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great sound system for their big screen TV. I've already had a couple of friends comment on how good it sounds. Also included in the box was the wall mount brackets (nice!). I've attached a couple of pictures so you can see the size of the soundbar and the subwoofer, but the pictures on the walmart.com website show you more of the connections for power and optical and hdmi ports. This is definitely a great quality system and we love it.

The set has got out of the ordinary excellent sound quality and a 3D effect. When connecting to the TV you will find plenty of connection cords that are provided in the packaging, for any type of connection that is suitable for you. The remote is sleek, slim and can connect not only to the sound bars but also your TV which makes it very convenient. Let me just tell you that the sound effect that this whole sound bar set up provides is nothing less than a cinema 3D quality sound, that makes everything that you are watching sound so realistic and up close. Definitely enjoying using this sound bar set. I have got it set up with my living room TV and let me tell you, on movie nights it feels just like we have a professional sound system installed in every corner of the room, thats how amazing the quality of the sound that comes out of this sound bar set is. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing I did after unpackaging the sound bar and plugging it in was to pair my Bluetooth with it to see what it sounded like. Holy Cow!!! I cannot believe the volume, clarity, bass, and ease of use of this sound bar. I never thought that a wirelessly paired subwoofer could be effective as I figured that there would be a signal delay, I was dead wrong. There was never a delay and the sub pack a wallop!! After what seemed like a two hour dance party, I hooked the soundbar's HDMI to my TV and tested vocals/dialogue as I was curious how good the center channel was. Even when the volume was low I could still hear the voices clearly. We have my daughter's gaming console hooked up to it and it has made gaming way more enjoyable as we are able to actually hear, and in some cases feel, the action! We have found ourselves watching way more shows on the TV this sound bar is attached to because it is such a new and amazing experience. What really does it for me is the different modes. We have been using both Game and Adaptive Lite and the difference between them is very noticeable. The only real CONI have for this is the mounting system. It relies on two small 'pegs' which while nice didn't provide enough support and the soundbar's weight caused it to sag and indent on the wall.

The sound is good, but it's incompatible with my Samsung TV. I have a Samsung A55F6xxx, so I bought this Samsung soundbar expecting it to have seamless integration. I was so wrong. TV Setup + CEC enabled + Latest and last firmware update + Cable in HDMI2 (ARC) - Can't set sound output to 'Receiver' Soundbar + D.IN + Latest Firmware + Plugged into HDMI ARC port. First, why would I have to change any settings? Should be plug-in-play. Eventually able to changed to Receiver for CEC to work. Which then causes the TV to switch to HDMI2 when the bar turns on. WHAT? So now every time I turn on the soundbar, it switches from HDMI 1 to 2, and I have to switch back. Next, CEC randomly stops working and returns to Speaker, and I have to fiddle with everything to get it writing again. And now I no longer can set sound to Receiver. Now TV won't recognize soundbar as a Receiver, the option is greyed out. Tried different HDMI cables, other devices works in the HDMI2 port. So switched to optical. Ugh. Soundbar doesn't auto turn on/off when using optical like my LG did. * Side note. My old LG soundbar is more compatible with this Samsung TV than the Samsung is.

The addition of a Center Channel Speaker and a Subwoofer truly makes a big difference in the feeling of overall sound quality. I later added the wireless rear surround speakers to complete the system.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the sound bar for a few weeks now in our theater room, and have been extremely satisfied on how well it performs with all the action movies. Not only does it produce high quality sound, the base let's you feel like your in the movie! The wireless setup also allows for a nice clean setup. We had guests come over for the holiday that even brought up how great it sounded while watching movies. They loved the base coming from the wireless sub, allowing us to easily place it behind the theater seating. Made us feel like we were at the movies!
