We already had a queen medium hybrid and loved it so we decided to go with the medium hybrid for the king. This one feels like a rock. It's so firm, nothing like our other mattress. We decided to go into a store to test them out again before calling in to swap under the 90 day guarantee and now I have no idea which mattress they gave us because the medium hybrid in the store is also much softer than the one we got. I'm really disappointed and frustrated.

Before purchasing the Luxe Adapt Soft I had the basic Adapt Medium Hybrid. The new mattress is much better for my neck and back. I have had it for a month now and it is taking some time to get used to it because I have always had a firm all my life, which does provide better back support. Due to my age (77), and my being a side sleeper, the sales personnel recommended the soft.

Not one to write reviews but read several during my research of this mattresses and took them with a grain of salt. We have owned the original Tempur Pedic mattress (the one that came without different softness levels. You just ordered it by which size you wanted and I guess they just cut a slab of material). We had that mattress for years and after breaking it in from its rock hard state it became quite comfortable. As the years pasted (at least 15) I began to have problems with my shoulders as I sleep on my side. Finally decided to purchase a new mattress. My wife did not want to replace the one we had even though it was long over due as she said it was fine for her. We both had concerns that we may end up with an expensive mattress that was uncomfortable but my lack of sleep pushed me forward. I was about to purchase one of the existing Tempur mattress when a friend of mine told me wait a few weeks as they were releasing a new line. The Tempur Lux-Adapt. He said "Its a whole new animal". Taking his word i waited the 3-4 more weeks (guessed he should know as he was a manager at one of the local mattress stores) and said he tried them out at some show. When the beds arrived at our local furniture (didnt purchase the bed from my friend, sorry buddy) store they had the Lux-Adapt in firm and medium. Since our old Tempur mattress was firm and that was also what the Mrs liked I purchased that in a king size along with the Ergo-Extend base. Let me tell you the reviews were right. This mattress is prefect. I'll repeat what I read in other reviews that we really cant wait to get into bed. Its that comfortable. The Lux-Adapt in firm has just the right amout of compression. You conform to about 3-4 inches is my best guess and then you dont continue to sink further. I am six feet tall and weigh 175 pounds and my wife is small and weighs about 100-105 pounds. The bed is comfortable for both of us. she loves it and I constantly remind her that it was my idea! I am getting great REM sleep again after years of tossing and turning due to shoulder discomfort. Fantastic! The only down side some may find is that it sleeps a little warmer that our original tempur pedic. Probably due to the fact that it comforms better. The only other complaint I have is that I bought a second remote for the Ergo-Extend base only to find out you can only use one programmed remote at a time. This is something that needs to be resolved. A bed at this price point and size you should not have to be crawling to the other side to get the remote out from the bedside caddy. We have two TV remotes on each side of the bed just for this reason. Guess its some liability issue the attorneys told them about. Dont want the Mrs to ask you to get something from under the bed that she dropped only to have her lower it down on you! LOL. Seriously this is a software issue and can surely be fixed. Doing so will make the base more easily usable. Not everyone gets in bed at the same time and dont want to have to hunt for remotes. All and all only minor complaints. Literally loving the bed and the great comfortable sleep we're getting. So glad we made the change and glad I took my friends advice and waited for these new mattresses to arrive. If you are considering a memory foam mattress you have to try out a Tempur Pedic, yes they are costly but they last. Considering how much good night's sleep worth and the length of time we spend in bed annually it can be money well spent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Where to start, softness, honestly with the softness level that I've noticed I would expect this mattress to be a medium firm not a soft. don't get me this is still a great mattress, just not very soft to me...and my body needs SOFT. That's the only major con for me with this mattress. It is very heavy but that's not really a con unless you have to move it solo. Now the PRO's gotta save the best for last. It does conform to your body pretty well, and it rebounds fast also. Movement really isn't felt across the mattress, I can not tell when there is movement on the other side from my side. I wouldn't be scared to try the egg test or water test on this mattress, that's how strongly I believe in this mattress in that regard. I can't do it though, a houseful of animals, so while the mattress wouldn't dump the water, the animal sure would. No waking or being awoken due to movement. I love this mattress in this regard. The mattress's design is attractive and very soft; you can sleep on it and be comfortable without sheets. In summary, this is an amazing mattress in many areas, really the other downfall for me is it's not soft enough, but my back is horribly messed up, so it may be just my opinion. Do I think it's worth the price, no not really. But if you can afford it and don't need a really soft mattress then this could be just the right mattress for you.

My husband and I were initially very hesitant to spend so much on a mattress but after trying out the luxe adapt, there was really no question. It was hands down the most superior bed we tried (and we tried out many different options). Noticeably softer and higher quality, we pulled the trigger and haven't looked back. In the month that we've had it, we've had the best sleep of our lives! We both now very much enjoy going to bed and the mornings are always difficult because we just don't want to get up. This mattress is truly worth every penny, highly recommend!

I had lower chronic back pain. I went on a weekend getaway and slept on a TemperPedic mattress for two nights while there. On the second morning, my girlfriend and I got up that morning, looked at each other , and said 'No More Backpain' I was amazed. I knew I was going to get one as soon as I got home. I did my research and test laid on various models and settled on the TEMPER-Luxe Adapt Soft. My back is great! I sleep much better. I love my TEMPER-Luxe Adapt Soft.

They advertise this mattress as offering pressure relief. However, before I lie down I have absolutely no back or side pain and when I wake up I have a lot of pain in the sides of my back. I suspect this is due to my hips sinking into the mattress a lot more than my chest and shoulders - leaving my back in a crooked position (I'm a side sleeper). It takes anywhere from 1-3 hours after leaving the mattress and going about my day for the back / side pain to dissipate. I want to reach out to Tempur Pedic since I'm not at all satisfied with the lack of proper support, but they require a phone with service (which isn't always an option for me) to call them even though my email works just fine.

Had original bed, Rhapsody Allura Countour pillow top, and now the tempurpedic Luxe Adapt firm. Didn't think they could get better. But! This mattress is just so comfortable and definitely cooler. Looking for 10 more years of good sleeping. Had 20 already. Started to look at other brands but realized after stopping at a store - Tempurpedic is the best. I know they aren't the cheapest but you get a good 10 years or more comfortable sleep. JDB

It is soft plush supportive and floats all my pressure points on my hips, back, snd shoulders. It is firm enough that you don't sink. I am now getting great nights sleep without tosssing or turning. I love this mattress and I highly recommend this to everyone.

Only had it for a month so far, but the way it conforms to any position while giving support helps me sleep well, and help me wake up without the lower-back pain I have been experienceing. Just hoping the firmness with ease up since the firm model can be on the harder side.
