I was excited to receive this Windermere Sample as I am planning some DIY projects in my house and have been looking at different flooring options for my basement. One of the first things I noticed, was the quality of the flooring. It seems really sturdy like it wouldn’t mark very easily or damage which is always a good thing. It was also really thick and strong feeling compared to some boards I’ve felt. I can tell this is good laminate! I also love the shade so much, it’s definitely a color that I would like to use in my house. Definitely recommend for those looking for quality laminate flooring. The quality and the appeal are both a win for me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve been wanting to go lighter for our flooring but haven’t came across one we’ve loved. This one is almost perfect! It matches the wooden accents around our home and has become our top contender. We love that it’s thick, water resistant (we have two kids and a large dog), the wood is from certified forests, comes with a limited lifetime warranty (for home use and 10 years for commercial use), has pre-attached foam and a speedloc system for quick and easy install, and the colors are just beautiful together (caramel and golden tones—stunning!). We can’t wait to get these and install!

The shade Fitzgerald was lovely and would make any decor you have. On the bottom of the tile there is a nice padded area. The only thing I was surprised about is that it’s not as smooth as I would have expected.

Of course, with just a sample, it’s hard to know if it would squeak when walked on or how it would stand up to everyday life. But to put it through some real testing, I gave it to my preschooler. He used it for a platform to crash monster trucks and dragged it across the floor vent. It came out perfectly fine!

I don’t have a benchmark for this as it’s my first flooring install. Would have given 3.5 stars if i could. Assuming it holds up over the years, it looks nice on the whole. Two problems. First and foremost is that looking at the picture online and the box I expected there to be a reddish hue to the flooring. There was none. It’s not quite as dark/brown as walnut and there is good grain variation between planks, but it really lacks the reddish tint I expected. Secondly, some of the corners came out of the box chipped (the hard laminate) relatively small spot but presumably enough to cause a problem for its water resistance? In this regard, a slight drop also lead to corner chipping. Have to look up safe fix…maybe small drop of clear nail polish? Also, I wish there were some better installation diagrams and tip/tricks about inevitable problems you run in to, like plank slicker, dealing with less-than-straight walls, door frames, etc. what are some workaround for cramped spaces and weird moldings, etc.?

It doesn’t look anything like the picture online and while it seems good quality from what I can tell, the picture is completely different from what I had expected. It’s difficult to determine as to whether this would be a good fit, since it’s just simply a sample and not actual flooring to install. not sure I would recommend this.

This flooring is not durable. Installed a month ago and already has chunks of the top layer that are coming off. Do not recommend buying
