I had purchased one of the trash cans years ago for our motor home and we loved it. My sister-in-law recently remodeled her kitchen so I purchased one for her as a gift and she love's it. It's a wonderful product. When you are working in the kitchen you don't have to touch the lid to throw something away. It is almost dog proof, my lab tended to open the lid with his tail when he walked by so I re-positioned it and angled it closer to a cabinet which eliminated his tail from opening it! It looks great and has worked wonderfully for the past 3 years. I highly recommend it.

This is our second garbage can like this. And we gave two as gifts. Need to be a bit careful not to overstuff, but overall we love it. While preparing food, I don't need to stop and touch a gross garbage can and then rewash my hands. Keeps the dogs out too!

I was so excited to get this trash can; however, I find it rarely works as it is supposed to. It opens and closes on it's own and more often than not, it never opens or closes automatically. I'm only keeping it because it would be a real hassle to return it.

Sometimes your hands are full and having the lid open when it senses you is priceless! Everything stays so much cleaner. The trash can holds a lot and the bag fits down inside the removable rim, so it always looks neat. The stainless exterior goes with everything.

When I bought this I thought to myself that I had a story I could tell me friends.(My friends are brutal about stupid mistakes you make). Suprisingly this thing isn't, in fact it's awesome. I love this thing. It's a running joke at work that I have to go home and empty it out because I threw things out that I needed just to watch it work. I would definitely recommend this product. Very clean slick lines that just makes your kitchen sparkle.

We had a similar trashcan for a few years that we were greatly pleased with, so when it finally needed to be replaced, this appeared to be the same model. Unfortunately, it is a bit shorter and does not work nearly as well. It will "sometimes" open automatically....and sometimes not. The mechanism does not respond consistently.

We've purchased one can every 5 years. It just wears out around then. While training our dog, we turn it off during the day when she is home alone. She never tipped it over or got into it. Now we have a toddler and turn it off to keep her from throwing our purse/wallet or keys away. I love this can.

We got this garbage can b/c we have a toddler who liked to throw things in the other open garbage can we had. This has been great! We have gotten a lot of compliments on it, for the look and the "coolness" of it. I would say the only downside to it, is it needs some kind of lock feature on it and sometimes when you walk by and dont intend for it to be open it does anyways b/c of the sensor. Overall though, it is great and just what we were looking for! It is also slim and nice looking.

I have had my Nine Stars trash can for more than a week. I ordered it Ship to Store, and was a little apprehensive, after reading a couple reviews of dented cans arriving. My purchase was delivered to the store within 12 days and I went to pick it up and take home. Unpacking was a snap and after putting the batteries in, we were all set to go. It is fantastic! I'm only sorry I waited so long to get one. Easy wipe up also. Buy this brand! It's the best. s

I have wanted a nice stainless-steel type trash can for a while but didn't like the high prices. I saw this one on special online and that it has a motion sensor. I love this as it works well and is great when busy in the kitchen and don't have a free hand to open the can. It's been easy to keep clean too. Love it ..well worth the price.
