I purchased a large deck storage box last year. It leaked water. is twisted. I have purchased many rubbermaid products in the past which were very good. This item however did not stand up and is of poor quality. I would not recommend it to anyone. Very poor unit and poor customer service from the dealer.

I bought the box to hold pool equipment (nets, hoses, brushes, toys etc.) The bonus is people can sit on it yet, nobody has. Looks nice and blends in. When my kids opened the lid, the straps that stop it from opening too far came apart where the small screw attaches the strap to the lid and the frame. As soon as the straps broke, one of the plastic hinges broke. Well, I can fix the straps and if I could buy hinges, I could fix the box. Without new hinges, (molded to fit) my nice looking almost new box is useless. Should have made better quality hinges with heavier hinges and hinge bodies.

The reason we bought our deck box at first was practical-we wanted something we knew would be durable and functional at a reasonable price for storing our outdoor cushions.Of course,Rubbermaid delivered-my boys can jump on it,bang it,whatever and it shows no damage.I've never had any problems with leaks,no rust,no fading,no musty smells,easy to clean, and always am happy to spend money wisely on a product that is going to last.Just wish the colors weren't so drab.

Terrible choice. Because it was Rubbermaid, I assumed this would be a good, sturdy product to hold my pool floats. I was sorely mistaken. I was apprehensive when putting it together. It seemed flimsy particularly, the lid assembly. It was secured by 2 very flimsy plastic straps, and the hinge assembly at the back was wobbly. Less than weeks later, my concerns were confirmed. There was a rain storm and the lid blew back with a small gust of wind (not large enough to topple my market umbrella), snapping the cheap plastic "hinges" and almost ripping the top completely off. I am very disappointed. It looks decent, but I wish I could give a negative star for quality.

I bought this box about 3 months ago at home depot. While the storage and aesthetic are nice, the box doesn't seem to fit together properly. The walls are always coming unhinged, and it seems as if there should be some kind of fasteners to keep everything together. Am I missing something? We're not even using this piece for seating - I can't imagine how that would work...

This is an outstanding product. It holds up to all kinds of weather, varmints and pets. We have placed cushions and even bird food in a sealed container for storage inside and no animal has ever gotten in to it or was able to open it. The soft colors blend in well with the deck and surrounding greenery in the summer, with 10 cubic feet of storage, you will wonder why you didn't purchase one sooner.

The instructions for this are atrocious. I was able to put the structure floor and walls together fairly easily, but the instructions for putting the lid on are baffling. I don't want to start hammering anything, but from what I can tell from the instructions you're supposed to hammer a thick plastic pin through a smaller hole, but with no leverage? I looked on YouTube but all the "instructional" videos are just pictures of the piece Since it's just a simple piece of paper, you'd think they'd spend a little more time making the instructions understandable

Big capacity and sturdy (if installed correctly). Assembly is tricky, because walls have to join tightly with each other via locking slots before walls can then be inserted as a single unit into the slots on the bottom panel. Instructions not clear on this point. Also, sliding the bolts into place that hold the top on requires a bit of patience, a hammer and a block of wood to fit into the narrow gap where the bolts are located. But, once assembled, this unit is big enough to serve as either a seat for 2 or even, with addition of 5-ft long seat cushion, a cot/bed to hold one person.

very cheap quality. lid doesn't close all the way on one side. don't anticipate it to last very long.

the front and back panel tabs do not align with the bottom tab slots. the unit cannot be built. it must be trashed or returned. like a good citizen I recycled the corroguted which will make return a problem.
