Great headset. They start to

Great headset. They start to distort after a few hours of the high volume. I like my music louder so I guess they weren’t designed for the max volume all of the time. Great to wear while running and cycling. Can’t even tell that they are on my head after a fem minutes of wearing them.

Fantastic for all day use, podcasts, calls, comfort. Good for music.

Sounds are conducted to our auditory nerves (Cranial Nerve VIII, or CN VIII) through two conduits: air and bone. Air is the one familiar to most of us - sound waves in the air enter the ear canal. They make the ear drum vibrate, which makes tiny bones in the middle ear vibrate (these tiny bones are not to be confused with bone conduction, described next), which send information to CN III. The other pathway is bone conduction. A vibrating object, say a tuning fork, or the contact surfaces of these headphones, in direct contact with the skull bones, send the vibrations directly to CN VIII. Cranial Nerve VIII then sends the information to the brain's auditory processing center. These bone conduction headphones are fantastic because they induce sound fidelity that is almost as good as ear buds. But since they are not in the ear canal, they are supremely comfortable. I am able to wear them all day, listening to podcasts, making calls, etc, with none of the annoyance and discomfort of ear buds. Is music fidelity equal to my AirPods? Not quite. But I don't use earbuds for music anyway, so it is not a concern. Bottom line: if you like earphones for non-music purposes, or music but are not concerned with the highest possible fidelity, then I highly recommend these for their utility and comfort.

Three Ups - Three Downs

+ Sound quality of music is good + Comfortable on my noggin + Good value for the $$ - A second charging cable or mini-USB to Open Pro dongle is needed - I can't hear my phone ring or Siri caller ID (even when nothing else is playing and ringer turned all the way up - OpenRun Pro relinquishes control to other devices too easily

Great boost for my hearing aids

I have 65% hearing loss since I was 20 years old, compliments to active military. I use my VA hearing aids at full volume all the time but with the OpenRun Pro I need to turn the hearing aid volume down to about 50%. So basically I now have plenty of volume when I need it But I still have issues with very soft voices. Also the open run Pro does not have enough volume if I do not have my hear aids. I would like to try the Pro 2 that just recently came out.

Don’t get beige, people think they are hearing aids

People often mistake my beige Shokz for hearing aids. They either assume I have a hearing disability and speak to me like I do, or they ask are you wearing hearings aids? I don’t like feeling like I’m an imposter of a disability. Definitely don’t recommend the beige color. I wish I could trade them. The sound quality is great and comfort is great but I hate wearing them because of the comments I get since they look like hearing aids.

ShokZ Open Run Pro - Saved my Sanity

Hello I am a former veteran (Army) and (Marines) both combat MOS'S, Air Marshal, and a SWAT Police. I suffer a ton this day with severe Tinnitus due to multiple ruptures to my ear drums I've suffered. I can't put buds, or anything directly in my ears. I go to fitness centers to run with cadence or Motivational video's and I usually play them direct from my iPhone, but people complain, and they don't care to understand why I'm not using headphones. these ShokZ's allow me to listen to my music, cadence, etc. without direct pain to my ears. I cried! These aren't just head phones to me; they are a medicine the renewed my joy of listening to thinks I love without offending others. And they (Headphones) cause me no pain in the process - Thank you!!

I don’t feel like I

I don’t feel like I can hear the sound well at all. My old pair of a different model were so much louder and sat snug against my head. I tried to file a question and do an online chat but I never hear back. I can’t listen to podcasts or books because the word are so low. I tried resetting them like the troubleshooting suggested. Kinda regret the purchase.

I love these headphones. They

I love these headphones. They are perfect for those who want to still be able to hear their surroundings as well as music or podcasts. They work great for outdoor and indoor exercise and even conference calls. The only issue I have had is connecting between multiple devices throughout the day. Phone, Laptop, Tablet and TV. It takes way more time than I would like and seems like I am constantly frustrated while trying to toggle between devices. These are new to me so there could be user error involved. Other than that, these headphones are awesome!

try it, I did and I love them

Very light, comfortable, not a hinderance for glasses at all, stay on tight, the bass is there with good volume, if you really want to hear the bass plug your years while listening it will overwhelm you. I didn’t believe they were worth it/actually bone conducting until I tried this. When you plug your ears and hear it more.. wow. Talk about surround sound too, like a personal life soundtrack. Great sound quality overall, definitely worth the cost and nice to be able to hear your surroundings/people (at a medium-quieter volume, and pause at a moments notice without having to take anything out of your ear. Very fast charge, very good battery life, easy to connect and control. Try it, free returns for 40 days or whatever!

Repeat customer

First pair we bought was like 8 years ago at a RunDisney expo. We now have like 6 pairs. For home, exercise and older ones for like yard work and such. Love the fact that they have great sound but you can still hear the world around you. It’s also great not to have your ears hurt and collect dripping sweat (I know gross)
