Purchased this for my grown daughter for Christmas. She loves it. Not only does it play vinyl, it comes with a cord for you to record the old songs to other devices. Makes me almost want to get one for myself.

back in th 50's my sister had a portable record player. this brought back memorys. very well made.

I bought my first *iON turntable several years ago and have been slowly overtime recording my 33 rpm album collection to CDs. I bought this very cool retro model for my man cave/bar/theater where it will be displayed beneath framed album covers, and if someone wants to burn a CD then they can on an old Philips CD recorder I've had for years.

So glad I made this purchase.. My old turntable system broke down years ago and this is perfect for me now when I want to get out the old LP's and take a musical trip down memory lane.. Love that it is powered by rechargable battery and can go anywhere with me taking up small space and it is not heavy and cumbersome. Great sound also..

Just purchased this because of the description, price reduction and portability features. Unfortunately, upon receipt I quickly discovered that it is poorly made. Great features but if it doesn't function as advertised it's not a deal at any price. The turntable doesn't work well with the felt disk, but of more concern is the fact that it came out of the package with screws not secured in the deck, and a total lack of attention to detail is obvious in appearance and functionality. Don't waste your money!

Bought this a couple of weeks ago. I've been wanting to convert some old vinyl records. Received the unit and set it up, but it did not work. I thought maybe the battery had to charge. After a couple of hours I tried it again but to no avail. I called ION to have them tell me what might be wrong. After looking at a couple of things it was determined that the unit was defective. Terry the person who helped me was nice enough and told me that he was sending me an e-mail with instruction on how to return the unit and that they would send me a new unit. This particular product is no longer in production so they were sending me a newer model. After a few hours I did not receive the e-mail so I called back. It was late Friday and I think they closed because all I could get was an operator voice mail. So I called back on Monday. Alex helped me and found out that Terry got my e-mail address wrong. So he resent me the e-mail with the shipping instructions. They paid for the shipping but they and FedEx required that the unit be shipped inside another box (double boxed) which cost another $10. The unit was not shipped to me double boxed from Sam's Club and I could ship it the way I received it. ION would not reimburse me for the box. Their response was "The company does not reimburse you for what FedEx charge you to box the product. We always recommend customers boxing up their product on their own as the shipment company will charge you a lot more to do so." I'm sure everyone keeps boxes around to ship thing back to vendors, a little sarcasm. Other companies send me boxes to send their electronics back to them why do I have to pay for boxes here. I did receive the replacement and it works fine. But in the end, this product cost me 25% more than the stated price plus all of my inconvenience so it wasn't a good deal.. .

I was so excited to receive this product....I should have known better! It totally bogs down when attempting to play 45rpm records. Contacted the manufacturer immediately about the problem and still haven't heard back from them. I guess I need to return this item; a total waste of time and money.
