We bought our generator a few weeks ago due to frequent power failure. We always keep our 20 ct ft deep freezer stocked. So now we have piece of mind that our food is safe. It was very easy to set up and put together, you will definitely need an extra person as it's super heavy. We built a box out of insulation to protect it from the weather and hopefully muffle the sound some.

Likewise, startup information was very user friendly and easily followed. Excellent information is provided for trouble shooting, if needed, and future maintenance schedules. Started right up after adding oil and gas. This is a robust machine with all features that are needed for emergency home backup power.

I've been satisfied with this Westinghouse 7500 generator. It's been a reliable source of power during infrequent power outages, providing enough juice for essential appliances and devices, except for my power-sucking oven. The generator is as loud as expected, and its portability makes it easy to move around as needed. The only minor issue I encountered was after leaving it dormant for a year. It initially refused to start. However, a quick 10-minute charge with a portable AC adapter resolved the problem, and it fired right up. This small inconvenience didn't detract from the generator's overall performance and reliability. If you're looking for a powerful and dependable portable generator, the Westinghouse 7500 is a pretty solid choice.

We have had to use this generator about 6 times as we live in the mountains and my wife and I find it very easy to set-up and get started - even in the wee hours of the morning when our power seems to go out. We use it to power our basement freezer, our refrigerator and our CPAP at a minimum. The last time we used it (after Helene) we did notice that it now has a small oil leak, thus the 4 instead of 5 stars. Would purchase again.

I purchase my WGen7500 after a similar experience I had with my kids, as a single mom it was hard for me not to have power in winter for a week so I decided to purchase this comprado and so glad I did. hurricane Beryl leave us again without power and my compressor kept my house lit and the best part is it kept my freezer and refrigerators running on top of that the amount of foot I had spent it was about the same price of my generator so it was a win win situation. If you live in an area that might loose power from time to time this is a must to have. I hope my experience could relate and help others

Power outage likelihood demands I have backup electricity for running essentials. Our last outage was all I needed to take action. I looked at several popular names and what did it for me was the power ratings and price not to mention GE being the name brand on this dude. If weight is any indicator, this is a quality unit! She's heavy!
