Besides the mattress being extremely comfortable, the ability to adjust it to read and watch television comfortably is terrific. As an extra benefit, I just had knee surgery and to be able to raise the lower part of the mattress to insure a comfort level for my leg while healing is wonderful.

I have osteoarthritist (degenerative disk desease) in my neck and back. I have severe ddd between L5 and S1. This mattress was recommended to me by the salesman and many reviews on-line. Since there was a 90 day try-out period (with a $299 return fee) I opted for this mattress with the upgraded ergo base. Pros: Between the mattress and the adjustable base, I can say that this has truly helped, No more tossing and turning all night. I found my "sweet spot" to adjust the base and progammed the remote so I can just push the button and I'm there. Cons: I have a bit of a hard time getting out of the mattress. I have to roll out rather than push myself off. But the trade off is well worth it. Summary: So far so good. I am a horrible sleeper. I start on my back and then on my side and would toss and turn all night long. This bed combination has really reduced all that. I gave it 4 stars because I have not had it that long. But I could see it being a 5 star bed. I wrote this review hoping it can help someone else with back problems.

Completely uncomfortable! My arms go numb every night in this bed. And it's sagging ALREADY after about 2 months. Husband and I are both MISERABLE. We slept 100% better on our old cheap mattress. I wake up between 4-5am every day bc I'm so uncomfortable. The company has been a nightmare to deal with. Buy this overpriced mattress at your own risk.

I chose the firm and love it. The was initially worried that I should have got the soft but after a few nights I was sure I made the right choice. It definitely helped my back and neck pain. This mattress is not cheap but I'm happy with it and hope it lasts a long time!

For years I have been testing tempurpedic mattresses in stores. I always thought to myself, "gee I don't want to spend that much on a mattress". Then my typical back aches that I usually get through having a larger chest and years of dancing got worse! I found myself going to the massage therapist more frequently. My family member suggested a purple mattress as being one of the best on the market in terms of comfort and price. I had the Purple for 1 night and I woke up with a back so achy that I could barely walk. I was told by the customer service rep. that I needed to "break in the mattress". It was the softest brand they had. I decided to return purple. I went to the mattress store and tried out the tempur-lux adapt soft and I wanted to fall asleep on the spot! I also tried the tempur cloud pillow which angle my head perfectly! I have had memory foam pillow in the past and I have always woke up with major neck pain! This was not the case with the tempur cloud pillow! I slept like a baby and bounced up out of bed ready to start the day! I was told that when I received the tempurluxe adapt mattress soft that it wouldn't be as form fitting as the one in the showroom was. This was an accurate statement. When I received the mattress it was firmer, but throughout the month I have had it it has loosened up. The break-in for the tempurluxeadapt was nothing like the Purple. I did not have any back issue with the tempurluxeadapt. It did it's job. I am so far extremely pleased with the product. My only concern is, will it last 10 years or more given the fact that I live in a very humid part of the country and my place does not have much insulation ? If this does not affect the mattress and if I get over 10 years out of the mattress before it begins to sink then I will be extremely pleased! So far I would say this is a great product and if you have back issues and you are on the fence about this item just purchase it! I even nick named the mattress fluffy! ;)

Night one: I love this bed. I was having severe pain down my right shoulder/arm sleeping in my old one. One night, and it's a significant relief. Life changer right here. Slept like a dream. I'm usually someone who tosses and turns and wow, just cuddled in and stayed put. Literally never want to leave. Counting down until I can go back to bed. I also have the adjustable base, and the angling option is fab. Worth noting the base arrives boxed, and the extra packaging does add to the dimensions. We had to take out of the packaging prior to bringing into my 2nd floor apartment- but was an easy install once the packaging was removed. Queen fit easily.

I l ok e that it is cool to the touch and I don't burn up while I am sleeping. The most comfortable I have been in years. The best sleep I have honestly had in years because I slept so well. After trying mattresses at various stores for 2 weeks, I had purchased a brand new expensive spring mattress because of lower back pain with the 3 year old one I was using. Still, I would wake up every day stiff, with pain as if something hit me and would toss and turn all night. I had never had a foam mattress so was not sure but in desperation I tried the Tempurpedic in the store and felt a relief. I went ahead and bought it paying even more for the difference from the previous one. At first I found it a bit hard, although it's the soft version, but I started not tossing and turning as much. Now, after a month I have to say I wake up without pain and the lower back pain that was waking me in the middle of the night with my previous ones has not come back. I've changed some things about my routine and doing some exercise also so that may have helped too. But definitely this mattress is worth the money so far. I may have slept well in the past in a regular mattress but getting older and a light scoliosis that I have, apparently it's necessary to find something special like this Tempurpedic technology to be able to sleep well and not exacerbate the natural "new pains" that come with aging. Totally recommend it.

Ever since I got this mattress, I've been experiencing breathing problems. I never associated it to the Mattress until I seen the Mattress tag contained fiberglass. I've been going to the pulmonary doctor since I bought this mattress. I didn't know it contain this and I think that people should know that these mattresses contain glass fibers which can be harmful for your breathing. Please google how harmful it is before you purchase any of these mattresses.

I've owned the luxe adapt soft for about 3 weeks. It is so different than my 16 yo Simmons Comfortpedic so I'm still getting used to it. When sitting one sinks into the bed eventually bottoming out on something uncomfortable. Also, when you get up, it takes some time for the foam to spring back up. At almost $4,000 I'm disappointed in the comfort of this bed. The Simmons at half the price is far more comfortable. Full disclosure, I'm 5'7" 130 pounds with a torn meniscus and torn rotator cuff. I have osteoporosis and arthritis. My bed requirements are more than most. The average person will probably like this bed. I also d as keep with 3 dogs who move astound. They sink and when they move around the bed doesn't spring back quick enough. It's uncomfortable.
