Customer reviews for Tempur-Pedic TEMPUR-LuxeAdapt Memory Foam Mattress Available in Soft and Firm forHas helped my neck
I've been struggling with a neck and shoulders issue + TMJ, where everything tenses up badly. I've gone through several different types of beds ( serta firm, air mattress etc ) This is the first mattress that has truly helped relax my stiff muscles rather than exacerbating the situation further. It hasn't cured me of course, but it's gone a long way in alleviating my symptoms. Actual good night's rest of neck and shoulders has made a huge difference. I am on the lighter side ( 115 lb ) so I think the soft is perfect for me. Shipping was frustratingly longer than anticipated, and the delivery men did not know how to actually set up the bed base ( so now I need to wait for additional service people to come out...- also frustratingly slow) but in the meantime I've slept on the mattress, and thus far it has been well worth the wait for the product. It has been so comfortable in fact, that I barely find myself moving once settled. It's made sleeping on my back easier ( a necessary adjustment I've had to make ) , but is also soft enough for rare times I side sleep.
Quality product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second Tempur-Pedic mattress. Three years ago I had a lumbar Laminectomy and Spinal Fusion. I suffer from sever Rheumatoid Arthritis as well as other medical issues. This mattress is the ONLY mattress that I can sleep on. It is truly a lifesaver!!
Tempur Luxe Adapt soft.
This mattress has changed our life. Its expensive but worth it. Highly recommend. Never slipped better. Im a shoulder sleeper and my shoulder numbness had gone away in one night on this mattress. We have tried other big name mattresses and end up buying new ones just after the warranty has expired( with hopes of the mattress fitting to our needs). When we purchased our Tempurpedic it was immediate results after one night sleep. You do need the mattress to air out after opening. It has a strong oder. Try to get an early delivery or air out over night.
Relief At Last!!!
Several mattresses back we had a Cloud Luxe Soft, which we loved, but my wife wanted to have a cooler bed, so we upgraded to a Breeze Soft. Turned out not such a smart move ... while the Breeze Soft was cooler, it was noticeably firmer and did not provide the even-support/pressure-relief that we needed which resulted in poor sleep and achy, grumpy, tired bodies. We have since upgraded (again) to the LuxeAdapt and what a relief!! Even though it is slightly warmer, it provides the even-support/pressure-relief to give an awesome night sleep and happy/healthy bodies ... this is what we had come to expect from Tempur-Pedic. An expensive move but so worth it!
Not quite what I had hoped/dreamed of.
In the store, the soft mattress felt by far the most comfortable for both my wife and I. (Which was in fact a huge surprise to both of us since I thought I needed a hard mattress,) Now we have it home, that 'Ahhh factor' that we hoped for isn't there - at least not yet. That is NOT to say this mattress is uncomfortable. It is at least as good if not better than anything we've had before - which includes various water beds and air/adjustable mattresses. As the salesman told us, do not really judge for at least a month, and we haven't had it that long. Still experimenting with the adjustable bed-frame, so probably haven't found the ideal combination of head and foot placement. One word of warning. We paid the extra for the 'connectable' bed frame. Unfortunately, our phones are old enough that Android 8 is too old to work with the app. Once I get connected and get reports on quality of sleep, maybe we can adjust and improve.
Memory Foam mattress/Tempur Pedic
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Tempur-pedic adapt soft mattress to test and review. Couldn't have come at a better time as I was in the market to replace my prior memory foam mattress that I purchased around three years ago. We have been having a struggle with the mattress we currently had so was thrilled with the opportunity to test out a Tempur-pedic. My fiance has been a Tempur-pedic customer for the past 20 years and was in the market for a replacement as well. Considering the cost of mattresses, when I purchased a new house and needed a one, I went for a comparable mattress. I went with a Serta memory foam that turned into a nightmare! Neither my fiance, or I could sleep comfortably on that mattress. Upon arrival of the Tempur-pedic adapt mattress, I initially noticed a difference in the thickness. The height profile is lower than the one I had previously which takes a bit of getting used to. The mattress sleeps better than the one I had previously, however, I'm still not sold on a memory foam type of a mattress. Time will tell as I know it takes a while for a mattress to "break in". I am a side sleeper and find that it Isn't the best option for me, along with the fact that it sleeps hot. My fiance loves the mattress and has been able to sleep comfortably at my place when he visits when previously he would get up and go to another room for lack of comfort on the old mattress. I would say that I'm still able to sleep better on this mattress and it was better than I expected, considering I'm not used to memory foam yet.
Very comfortable
When we first got our TP Luxe-adapt in soft, we absolutely did not like it!! For something that's supposed to be soft, it was like sleeping on concrete!! We were ready to return it! But we did like we heard and slept on it for a while and finally after around a month, something changed and I loved it. I read where it has to go through a break in period and something about the cells needing to open up. I guess that's the case! My husband says it's still hard to him but that it's better. Unfortunately he is still having trouble falling asleep on it. Not me though!! My brother has had a TP for 10 years and they love it so we decided to give it a try. LOTS of money, but hopefully will keep us from having to purchase a new bed every 5-7 years. We did not get the adjustable base. Just too expensive for us!! But would have considered if more affordable.
Still not sure
I was really excited to get this product however I'm not sure about it anymore. I tried out this particular mattress several times at the store and loved it. I felt buying the premium memory foam would be best for me. It seemed the most comfortable and I like that it addressed pressure points. While I don't sleep hot on the mattress my lower back is killing me now. I toss and turn to relieve the issues in my lower back but given that its a memory foam, its hard to adjust positions. I'm thinking of returning it if it doesn't resolve itself in a week.
Excellent!!!
This bed has changed my life! I travel for work and was given the mattress as part of a collaboration. My sleep time is precious because I rarely get it on the road... since I've started sleeping on my temper-pedic I get full recorvery when I'm home. I actually sleep through the night! It feels like I'm sleeping on a cloud. I would recommend this mattress to everyone. Health is so important and sleep is essential to great health. I'm so happy with my mattress!
I sleep on the ground for fun. This mattress was too firm.
TLDR; This mattress is a hard no for me. If you have a sensitive back like me, try the hybrid medium model first. For context, I am a 33 yr old female, 5'4, 140lbs. I sleep best on firm mattresses as I have chronic back pain and need the support. My husband and I had a cheaper memory foam and had to toss it after 4 years because of the sag (and expired warrenty). We weren't ready to drop a small fortune on a better quality mattress at that time, so we slept on a full, medium firm Sterns & Foster spring mattress that we already had, for about a year. Comfort wise, it relieved a lot of low back pressure, but it was not a long term solution. Fast forward to this April, we were finally in a position to cash flow something nice nice. I laid on just about every bed in the store that had a 10+ year warranty and after multiple visits it came down to the ProAdapt vs. the Luxe Adapt, both in firm. I went with the LA, obviously. It was delivered the next day and I was fully prepared to experience extra firmness during the "break in" period, but expected it to soften up a bit and give me the relief I was desperate for. When I tell you my back was on fire after 3 nights... It was unbearable. I'm a stay at home mom to 3 special needs kids. When it comes to sleep I am not here to play. I also see a chiropractor twice a week, eat right, exercise, and give myself at least 9 hours a night to sleep. Our family tent camps regularly and I slept better on a high quality 3 inch mattress pad on the ground than I did on the Luxe Adapt firm. The store I purchased from required us to keep the mattress for 30 days and offered an exchange for up to 100 days. Needless to say, on day 30 I went back to the store in search of something else. I considered going the springs route, but we already spent a weeks vacation worth of money and needed to find something comparable, so we stuck with memory foam. We chose the Luxe Adapt HYBRID MEDIUM and I anxiously and cautiously waited for its delivery a week later. We have had this new mattress for a week and I literally forgot what actual sleep felt like until now. I'm sleeping SO DEEPLY my early rising - podcast listening - shirt ironing 5ft away from the bed - husband doesn't even wake me up now. The dogs don't wake me up either (maybe they're sleeping better too). My chiropractor has noticed a difference in my spine after ONE WEEK. Thank you, Jesus. Do yourself a favor and do not buy the Luxe Adapt firm. The End.
