This has been a great bed so far. I used to have some hip and shoulder pain and that has gone away after sleeping on this bed. Getting rid of the pain is exactly what I had hoped for. It does sleep a little warmer than my old bed, but that hasn't been an issue at this point. It wasn't too warm when the weather was warmer and now that it is getting colder, I don't mind a little extra warmth. It will be interesting to see how it is in the heat of the summer next year. The bed is nice and soft, which is what I was looking for. It took me a couple of weeks to adjust to it, but it has definitely improved my sleep quality.

We made quite a few visits to Tempurpedic showrooms. I wanted a firm bed but this model feels softer than expected. It is called a "firm" but the Luxe Adapt has an extra layer on the top of the bed which makes it feel softer to me. When shopping for the mattress, I liked the feel of the Pro Adapt Firm. It does not have the extra layer on top and it costs less. Salespeople suggested the Pro Adapt Firm would be too firm for a side sleeper giving pressure to shoulders, hips and knees. So, I was swayed a bit by the salespeople and bought the Luxe Adapt. It's a good bed and we get a decent nights sleep. But, it just feels too soft. By the way, the delivery, installation and take of the old mattress was perfect.

I've had a Tempurpedic mattress for 12 years and the LuxeAdapt Firm has still managed to exceed my expectations. My previous mattress was the AdvantageBed Firm which had a low 8inch profile. While we always loved it. I did feel that it I didn't sink into the bed as much so sleeping on my back still left some pressure points on my back. We went with the LuxeAdapt Firm and while it is a tad softer, it also allows me to sink into the bed much more. I had never been able to sleep on my back the entire night, and I was able to do that on the first night on the new bed. It's really holds your entire body and leaves no pressure points both sleeping on your back or side. Although it says its Firm, it really sleeps like a Med. Love it!!

I sell these mattresses daily. And my luxadapt firm is just perfect for me. Took some time to adjust to temper material. By adjusting I mean it was causing pain for the first few days but it was just fixing my spine alignment. No more pain just perfect sleep.

Initially I thought I made a mistake in purchasing the firm instead of medium option. Not so! After giving it about a week break in time, the mattress is perfect. Conforms to your body. Does not sleep hot. Perfect fit for me and my husband who prefers firmer support.

We previously owned a TempurPedic (queen/firm) for 14 years-I am on the heavy side (275 pounds) and my side of the mattress developed a pocket several years ago so we decided to get another mattress. Contrary to my ideals, we succumbed to the sales lady to purchase the medium hybrid which she said would be cooler but not as firm--I don't think so-I feel hot all the time and it's too soft for me. I don't think the pillows purchased at the same time are any "cooler" than what we had either. I feel I'm going to roll off the edge of the bed all the time. My wife thinks what we have is OK (she likes the head lift too which I don't). Bottom line, I liked my firm mattress much better than this one!!

So far this has not been a purchase I'd repeat. The first few nights were unbearably hot. We changed over to cotton sheets and that helped a little. Keep in mind my house is usually around 65 degrees at night. I can't really tell if it is outgassing or allergies, but my eyes are beat red in the morning and my neck has been sore. My wife is worse being up for hours every night. I talked to Temperpedic customer service today and they told me to lean the mattress next to an open window. Their other option was to spend even more for a breeze model. After spending close to $5k already another brand is likely in my future.

My experience with Tempur Luxe Adapt soft has made me almost pain free at night and day! I have back problems and arthritis in hips and shoulders. I weigh 165. This bed cushions and supports me like no other. We tried other expensive mattresses and had to exchange them. The support is best for me with our adjustable frame for relief from GERDS. This mattress works great on an adjustable frame. Some other mattresses we tried left me in so much pain all day long. Prior to this we had the Tempur Pro Adapt soft. It was good, but this is better. We also bought the waterproof cooling mattress protector and it really does help keep the heat down. I love our new Tempu LuxeAdapt soft! It's improved the quality of my life. My husband, who can sleep anywhere, loves it too.

the bed is comfortable and contours just as they it should. my issue is it sleeps very warm. at first it is cool then as the night goes on the mattress does seem to trap heat. I like cold so i am heat sensitive. otherwise it is a good supportive mattress that even though it is listed as soft is really not a soft as other beds but not rock hard as a firm mattress is. For the price it better last a very long time.
