It arrived in a shrink wrap pack that was easy to open and the blanket immediately poofed up. It does cover the whole bed, you might need to steam it or put it on the dryer to get rid of the wrinkles.

It is nice and warm, as you can see my boy Von likes laying on in. The fabric holds wrinkles and has the feel of hotel sheets. I guess I'm used to real down. I'm sure folks with allergies may do better with this alternative. It is very light and thin.
