fell a bit short

I loved the idea of open ear listening and was eager to try these. My day consists of lots of walking so having the ability to hear surroundings was important. That part is fantastic! Several parts have fallen short and I am disappointed. First is that I was under the understanding that "bone conductive" meant that others wouldn't be able to hear my conversations but that isn't what I have. I have the open run pro. Additionally the sounds regardless of music or voice calls sound flat. Very basic sound. For the price I was really hoping for a sound experience. There also isn't good noise cancellation tech in these. I will keep them but just for when I do walking. I believe that the industry should standardize one type of cable. I am now carrying several cables just for charging. I don't like leaving negative reviews because our society usually only focuses on the negative but these are expensive and just wanted to share. On the positive side they are super cool and help me when I walks so I don't get hit by a car.

This is my 2nd pair

This is my 2nd pair of jawbone conducting headphones. I originally went with another company, their headphones were ok, did the job but were uncomfortable to wear for very long, the sound quality was ok but not great, they were functional. However, the OpenRun Pro headphones are everything I wanted in my first pair! The sound is surprisingly high quality, you can hear the full range of sound and the highs, lows, bass, all of it! They are much more comfortable to wear, they don't press on my head as tightly but still stay in place as I workout or do housework. I can still hear my surroundings and and when my family is trying to get my attention, which is up to you if that is a plus. I have had them for a month now and very happy with the purchase!

Money well spent........3 TIMES!

LOVE these awesome little headphones. They are my 3rd pair! This new color and design is exactly what I needed. Wear them daily for phone use at work and music or audible books the rest of the day. I have a hearing problem in my right ear but these seem to improve my hearing. Is that possible??? Don't know but I won't look a gift horse in the mouth. :)

Love love love these. Wore

Love love love these. Wore them on my first half marathon the other day and they have become my go to for all outdoor running and riding. Simple to use, connection great etc. love a longer battery life for this ride run brick days, right now means charging after every use or every other use. Totally worth it though

Useful for those with middle ear hearing loss

I have conductive (middle ear) hearing loss, so my ENT suggested I get a pair of conductive headphones, since they essentially skip over the middle ear and the vibrations are sensed by the inner ear. I can also use these headphones while wearing my hearing aid. I give the headphones a 4 because they could be a bit tighter in order to have more bone contact and transmit the vibrations better. Some pros are that they connect really easily and quickly, are user friendly, and I’m not worried about wearing them outside in the rain.

Not loud enough

I had a pair of open move for a couple of years and was happy with them. When the battery stopped holding a charge I upgraded to the open run pro hoping for longer battery life. Unfortunately the sound just isn’t loud enough. If I’m using them in my car in the highway I need to put in earplugs to be able to hear my audio book.

Good for listening in bed

This is my third pair of Shokz, and I went with OpenRun Pro Mini because of the close fit to the back of my head. I like my others for when I'm up and about, but wanted to try the minis. I measured my noggin ear-to-ear around the back, and the fit guide said these would work. They do, and I use them almost every night listening to music as I fall asleep.

Gamechanging

Got Tinnitus several years ago and couldn’t wear in ear any more. Found Shokz, and not only did they enable me to keep listening to music while running, but they are more comfortable and stay in better than any ear buds, and the open ear design allows me to hear crazy bikers bearing down on me before they get there.

OpenRun Pro quick review.

Love the headphones. Recently bought second pair for office and home. The sound quality isn’t like your earbuds. They don’t go in your ears so there isnt the same level of isolation. The trade off is, you can function normally, listen to tunes or talk on the phone, and still hear the outside world. It took me about a week of regular wear to get used to them. I was gardening the other day listing to tunes and could hear my dog pestering me to throw his ball…pretty cool. I’d recommend them to others.

Love the new OpenRun Pro!

Excited to get my new headset and find it works very well. I power walk and listen to podcasts and music and also take calls from it. The callers always say it sounds great (better than my old ones which were not this brand). They don't slip on my head/ears at all.
