OpenRun Pro

I've had the Trekz Air when the company was still called AfterShokz. Great piece of headphones and lasted me all these years. It still actually works great, but just recently started having some trouble only when making calls where I sound like I'm cutting in and out apparently. If that didn't happen, I'm almost certain I wouldn't have traded them in. I'm only a few weeks in using the OpenRun and can't say much yet, but here are my thoughts so far: Pros: 1) Light and 2) aesthetically sleeker than older model. Mild Annoyances: 1) The flexibility of the headphones causes them to flop around a bit when trying to handle them, a bit annoying when in a hurry. 2) It might be different if I got the mini size, but I feel the conduction piece moves easy so I have to adjust them often versus the Trekz Air sat right where I needed them and stayed in place. 3) Also I'm noticing the sound isn't coming through as clear as the Trekz Air did. As I said, still getting use to these so I'll give it a little more time. On a side note, after I got the OpenRun a few weeks later the new ear pieces were released... so, yeah, that wasn't annoying or anything, lol.

I love my open run

I love my open run pro mini headphones. I have two pairs I like them so much. I use them for everything running, hiking, rucking, mountain biking. reason I gave 4 stars is the battery life isn’t great. I have to charge mine 4-5 times a week. Also I think you could even go smaller with the minis. The minis are still a little big and I’m 5’10 180. But overall great headphones!

Incompatible with my hearing aids

Incompatible with my hearing aids Being bone conducting, the hearing aids could not supplement the sound, so the net effect was too muffled. Would be better if I could have accentuated the high end beyond what the "voice mode: allows. They are also a little small for my head which meant there was too much side pressure. This is not a problem with my OpenSwim head[hones

Part of my everyday life!

I've had a standard sized pair of these for a year or so. I got them so I could be safer and more comfortable when I go running, and I found they're great to wear when I am gardening or going for walks as well. I didn't realize how useful they would be for taking phone calls, an optimal experience next to trying to comfortably hold the phone to my ear. They were always a little uncomfortable on my ears, but the benefits outweighed the minor discomfort. My last pair recently had a run-in with my cousin's puppy, so I needed a new pair and decided to take the time to make sure the size was right. Turned out the minis would fit better, and fit better they do! They fit PERFECTLY, totally comfortable, easy to forget I'm even wearing them. The update on the location of the charging port was a good one. Theother changes I've noticed is that the voice has been updated, and the case is actually protective of the case and far more secure than the old design. The general sound quality is just as wonderful as the first pair, if not better, though that may have to do with the fit. TLDR: I couldn't be happier with this purchase, totally worth the money.

Safe Listening

Headphones work quite well and allow user to hear surroundings without compromising the sound too much. This does somewhat limit the available volume and quality of bass while using them. Headphones worked well while riding bike on roads as well, allowing user to hear approaching traffic. Speaking on calls while moving does produce some wind noise interference. Great battery life!

The. Best!

I am really excited about my new Openrun pro headphones. I always had problems with earwax with typical earbuds, but not these. You don’t have to take them out of your ear to hear a conversation or things going on around you while you’re walking or Running. They are a comfortable fit , easy to work with and have a great sound. Thank you

Perfect for a jog or work, but difficult to wear long term

There’s a lot I love about these headphones. I love being able to hear my surrounding on a run: the birds chirping, wind rustling leaves, traffic, and bikes that need me out of the way. It’s also great to be able to hear things at work clearly without having to take my earbuds off. I like that they never fall off even when I’m jogging. And I find most people don’t seem to notice them on me at all (probably to do with my copious amounts of hair). However, if it’s too loud outside, I can’t hear anything from the shokz. And the main con of the openrun pro is the way it digs into the back of my ears. I can’t wear them for more than a couple hours because i find them painful after a while. So good overall, but the fact that they hurt after a bit really brings down my overall experience :(

Wanted to love them, ended up returning :hushed:

Sound and build quality is great. Clarity of sound is really good. Don't expect bass though. A little disatisfied with the usability. No way to mute from the headset and the app is needed to perform certain functions like multi-pairing. Ive used medium sized helmets and the headset fit feels a bit large. I would've preferred something with a smaller fit. I think the Openrun has a mini fit for those wanting aomething smaller.

Open run pro

The open run pro are nice their are a few things I’d like to be changed or worked on 1st the volume always goes back to low when you turn them off and when you turn them on again it’s hard to hear that they are back on. 2nd the on and off button are too close to each other

Awesome for Mountain Biking!

I am an avid mountain bike racer who has tried several types of ear buds. In this context, none can hold a candle to my OpenRun Pro. I was not sure how the music would sound, but the truth is, for the first time, it does not need to be loud to be satisfying. The buds fit nicely under my mountain bike helmet, with sunglasses on. The controls are easy to find since they're next to the ear and they are easily controllable with gloves on. I even answered a phone call and it sounded great! I highly recommend this set of ear buds for any mountain bike rider who loves music, but needs to hear the outside world.
