We decided to try this even after some bad reviews posted on this site. And we were in good luck. None of the bad reviews here are correct. It definitely didn't meet the standard of one other brand sold here but that one is expensive too if you compare with the price of this one. Grain sizes are average but it is basmati and flavor too.

Good quality Basmati rice

I hate to say it but I like the taste of Mahatma Basmati Extra Long Grain White Rice better. With 20 pounds of Khazana I guess I will learn to like it too. LOL

This isn't my regular (royal) rice. It reminds me of Uncle Ben's long grain. Most of the family eats it, but our primary rice eater doesn't like the taste of it reheated (microwave/ stovetop). I'll skip this brand next time, but it'll do for now!

if it is basmati, it is really old and has lost its smell. Inside, there is a thin plastic bag that is perforated deflating holes and is not sealed on top. This has 3 problems: 1) lets bugs in so you might be infesting your home if you bring this home 2) the rice spills if the bag is on its side 3) the rice looses its scent

I purchased this rice only because my store was out of the Royal brand basmati rice (which I really like). This rice had a horrible smell right out of the bag and I had to rinse it twice as long as I do the Royal brand. It is a longer grain than any other rice I've purchased. I used about 2 cups of this rice, then gave it away on my neighborhood Facebook page.

Bought this brand for the first time. As soon as the stitched seal was opened the inner plastic bag was torn inside. Once I started the transfer of the rice to my own container, I saw a few food bugs that were alive inside the bag. There was also no aroma of the rice. Bugs in the food is totally unacceptable and a torn bag inside that probably let them inside

I bought this bag of rice a month ago because the store was out of their regular basmati rice, Royal Basmati. Khazana is NOT basmati rice. It is long grain and does not taste, look, and feel like basmati rice at all. The most telling fact is the lack of basmati rice aroma. Sams Club should stop selling this product as soon as possible. Please bring back Royal Basmati because that is authentic and sold at a great price. I will not be purchasing Khazana ever again from Sams.

Except the shape, it is not Basmati Rice in any sense. Basmati Rice should have good smell after cooking. It does not have any smell. It is like long grain rice. I am not buying it again. I bought it because Sam's club was out of Royal Basmati Rice. I will not recommend it.
