Almost perfect- definitely worth it…

This is a great and (so far) reliable coffee maker. I was fed up with the terrible quality and construction and unreliability of Keurig coffee makers. They’ve really become increasingly worse over the years. This coffee maker has allowed me to keep using all of the pods & accessories we already have as well as to brew drip into a carafe. BTW both methods make better coffee than any of the Keurigs I’ve owned. This unit has all of the important features while remaining simple and intuitive to use. It also looks good! There are 2 reasons I gave 4 (instead of 5) stars: 1. The ‘Bold’ feature only works for the drip brewer side (it should REALLY be available for pod brewing too). 2. Cuisinart should really offer a stainless, thermal carafe for this brewer (even if it’s just as an optional, additional purchase).

Extremely disappointed. Not worth the money

Must take pot lid off completely to place water in pot. No hinged opening?! Does not offer keep warm feature… only brew. Not user friendly at all. A simple warming feature for pot would be helpful. Need to work on design features. For the price of this coffee maker and with this brand name… I expected better. I presented as a gift to group and this has left me embarrassed and looking like I just bought a cheap coffee maker… which it was NOT!

2-n-1 coffee maker

I was so extremely disappointed with this product. It had everything I was looking for but the POD button didn’t work. I had exchanged this BRAND NEW machine 3 different times and every single one the POD button was nonfunctional. I called customer service multiple times to try and get it to work. The customer service representatives that I had spoken to were wonderful and helpful but despite all the trouble shooting they walked me thru we could never get the machine to work . Highly disappointed

We had a prior Cuisinart model and it was time to replace it so we bought this 2-IN-1 coffee center. Very pleased with the multiple venues allowing Caref or POD. The POD works well for a single serving but there are two of us using the center and when we don't wait at least 5 minutes between PODs we get mostly hot water (0-25% coffee) from the dispenser on the second cup at 6 or 8 oz setting. Otherwise, we would have up'd the rating to 5 stars.

I am not a coffee nerd but I do like my coffee. It surprised me when I made my coffee the same as I have made for years and it came out a better tasting cup of coffee. Same coffee, same amount, same everything and a better tasting cup o jo. I am now convinced that a better coffee maker makes a better tasting cup of coffee.

It’s easy to use. The instructions are fairly clear and simple. I love the duality of a single cup or full pot option. That was what I was missing in my kitchen. I upgraded from a keurig when I needed a pot for a group. I like grinding my own coffee with the option of using it in either mode. It’s cumbersome to do that with more than one cup at a time as in the keurig. The only think I wish that it did was grind the beans too. Otherwise I think it’s a great maker.

Stands alone compared to Keurig

I switched to this Cuisinart from a Keurig. The amount of actual coffee from a K-cup using a Kuerig was short of expected settings every time. Often by 30% or more. Same was true for the pot. Set for 12 cups it made only 8. I did 2 full cleanings with no change. The Cuisnart produces the correct number of ounces time and time again. It is faster than the Keurig and the coffee produced is more flavorful. It is also more economical as there were way too many times I need to use a second K-cup to fill my mug.

Cuisinart I'm disappointed

I expected exceptional quality from Cuisinart. I was disappointed. The k-pod side was defective. The plastic needle is not sharp enough to puncture the pod. Exploding pods! Big mess! The special paper filters overflow very easily putting coffee grounds in the carafe. Every coffee maker I have ever owned had a hinged lid on the carafe. The carafe lid has to be completely removed to fill with water. By the way, the carafe drips down the side if you don't pour very slowly. I liked the bold setting and I like to program the start time. Unfortunately you cannot use the bold setting while using programmed start. This was an immediate deal breaker for me. I bought the coffee maker on Friday and returned it to the store on Sunday.

Got off to a bad start but now I love it. It seems folks have had an issue with the single serve side not working. No POD light when the POD button pressed. A google search showed a quick fix. I interpreted this problem as a sticky pod sensor switch right under the pod lid. I had that problem right out of the box. Did the 'fix' and all was good. It did it a day later and I did the 'fix' again. Since tht it's been working fine great.

Disappointment

Getting ready to return it. Used it over the holiday. If your regular size coffee cup is slightly higher (different coffee cups) then you can’t brew the single cup on the top shelf and have to use the one on the bottom. Disappointment. In regard's to the carafe, two pots overflowed with ground coffee and I only used 7 spoons. The pot had only been used 2 times. What a mess. Seems flimsy.
