Yes the griddle is removable for washing but the probe holes could still get wet. Our last griddle( not dash) quit working from corrosion in those holes. Yes you need to let it dry completely before use. It is easy to wash in the sink without the base. Read the manual.The griddle works great for our daily pancakes and bacon. I'd like to try hamburgers but worry about heating where there is no food to cook. I have several Dash products and they are durable and I do use them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow!! This is awesome! I never made pancakes without them burning until I used the Dash Ceramic Nonstick everyday griddle-sage green. I tripled the amount of pancakes that I could normally make and we were able to all eat together! This was so easy to use, evenly heated the non stick surface. I love the removable drip tray which made it super easy to clean! I didn’t know what I was missing! It is extremely light weight so moving it after it was cleaned and cooled was simple. I am super satisfied with this and think that everyone should have this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cleanup: AMAZING! Check out that photo! Size: big enough. My complaints are minimal and might not apply to everyone. First, it seemed to take forever to cook. I LOVE this griddle but the picture on the box inspired me to make fajitas and it took so long to cook the veggies. Second, the temperature control. I get that there is a temperature assigned to each number but do you think I’ll remember that? Do you think I’ll actually keep the booklet???? It’s just unrealistic. Finally, the crevice around the outside. It is VERY important to note that the black part does not get hot which is INCREDIBLE because I often cook in a sports bra but I’m also a messy cook and there is explicit to not get crumbs in between the griddle and the rim as it’s difficult to clean…which is annoying, because I know I will do that at some point.

I loved the griddle when I first bought & used it. However, I was only able to use for 2-3 months. When I plug in my griddle, while in "off" setting & remaining in off setting, it is on and heats up very hot. The only way I've been able to make anything, such as bacon, is by cooking while it is "off." I've reached out 3 times with no response from Dash or retailer. I'm disappointed I was only able to use for a few months, I looked forward to getting this griddle for a long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love that I can cook several things at one time. It is large enough to cook enough to feed all 4 of us. It heats evenly. It easy to clean. I clean it as soon as I take the food off while it is still warm. That way it can cool off and be ready to put way by the time we finish eating!!!

I am thoroughly satisfied by the quality, fit and finish of this griddle. First time using it was amazing. My wife used it to make french toast and was very happy with how well it performed. Heated up quickly and evenly. Since I was a beneficiary of the french toast I was very impressed by the results. I unfortunately didn’t take a picture of the griddle in action, but there is ample room for 8 slices of bread on the heating tray. I highly recommend purchasing this griddle, it will not disappoint.

But seems like a good solid griddle. Cooked pancakes evenly. Took a minute to get used to the 1-5 numbers on the control, rather than temperature. Wonder why it was designed with a gap between the outer casing and the surface of the griddle, which traps food. Have to use a skinny brush or a knife to get those food particles out.

When I first received it, I thought it was super long but no it is the perfect size to cook multiple foods at one time. It heats up very quickly and the heat distributed throughout the entire grill. I am SO happy to have this product.

At 1st we enjoyed the griddle until we had issues with where the power cord plugs into the griddle. The plug started to get loose and it would not keep the griddle on. Contacted Dash and the griddle was replaced. This griddle was purchased 09/27/2020. Unfortunately the same issue started with the replacement griddle a few months ago. This time when I contacted customer support on 04/27/2023 they were not helpful and I requested to speak to a supervisor, not possible in their system, however would be contacted within 48 hours. 05/02/2023 Susan finally contacted me. After letting her know about the safety issues with a power cord that is loose and a potential safety/fire issue, her concern was for Dash's bottom line! She is more concerned about Dash loosing money than a consumer using a product that could be a fire hazard, worst care, or it melts and not the griddle is no longer functional!

This is probably one of, if not the best griddle I have ever owned! It takes a beating on the regular and (knock on wood) it's still as non-stick today as it was the day I bought it and I've cooked many many things on this griddle that should have stuck to the surface but it didn't it comes clean every time and still works like a charm.
