However, macarons are not a cookie I would want to bother with baking - it is time consuming, messy, and the end result will never look as good as the pretty ones in the store. So I was happy to try these macarons from Sam's and I really loved them. They are very very sweet - I would probably make them less so but most people love sweet cookies. They are soft and chewy but in a good way, perfect size when you need just a bite of something sweet, and the different flavors in the package make it interesting, My favorites are the passion fruit and pink lemonade, probably because they are more tart, but every flavor ended up being devoured in our house. And the best part - they add such a festive look to the desert table! Actually no, probably the best part is that they are kept frozen and can be pulled out and served anytime with no advance notice.

These things we so tasty. Even thou they are keep in the freezer, they do not freeze solid. They come out nice and chewy. I like the flavored filling inside. The whole family really likes these. We will defiantly be buying these again. Highly recommended.

If "sweet" was an actual flavor, these would be it. Overly sweet, gummy filling. The passion fruit were awful - even my passion fruit-loving teenager hated these. Best of the lot IMO were the vanilla, caramel, and chocolate, but even these were horrifically overly sweet.

I feel some of the flavors (salted caramel) are too sweet for me but overall delicious. Pink lemonade, chocolate, and raspberry were my favorites out of all of the choices. This would make a great dessert to bring to a party, especially because they thaw in no time. By the time I got home from the store (10 minutes) I was able to give these a try. Texture-wise, these area bit more 'chewier' than fresh, but not bad at all. For the price point and the convenience - well worth a buy!

I picked up a box of the macarons after passing them over a few times on previous shopping trips. My family LOVES Macarons, we've had them all over the world and learned to make them at home when we couldn't find any good ones locally. If you buy these and don't let them reach room temperature before trying them, you'll be disappointed. They're not meant to be eaten COLD. Not even a little cold. They soften and reach the right texture once they're well-established at room temp. The first ones we tried from this pack were the Raspberry, Pink Lemonade and the Passion Fruit. Those were honestly terrible. I would give the Lemonade ones to people I don't like. BUT, then we got to the our usual favorite flavors: chocolate (husband), Salted Caramel (mine and the kids' favorite) and the Vanilla (just my favorite) and OOOOH THEY WERE GOOOOD! Considering the price of $15/box, that's an awesome deal on 18 really good macarons (6 vanilla, 6 Caramel, 6 Chocolate), even if you throw out the fancy fruity awful flavors. Would I choose these over our homemade macarons? No. Would I choose these over the other ones I've found in bakeries and Whole Foods? YES, no contest.

The product included a wonderful variety of flavors and they were all in good condition due to the sturdy hard plastic tray. Each flavor was a treat for the tastebuds! The were soft, spongy and full of flavors. I highly recommend purchasing these to celebrate Spring! Delicious!!

The centers were fudgy, with no clear distinction between filling and cookie. I did not like the passion fruit or the caramel flavors and the others were bland. The cookies are overly sweet. The colors are pretty if you are looking for presentation, but the taste is nothing exceptional.

With six flavors, there's something for everyone, and they are gluten free which is a plus for my crowd. The outer part of the cookie is a little softer than I am used to for a macaron, so the texture is a bit one note, still delicious though. Flavors ranked best to not my favorite - Vanilla Bean, Chocolate, Pink Lemonade, Raspberry, Salted Caramel, Passion Fruit. I did not enjoy the passion fruit at all, very floral tasting. Wish the ingredients were cleaner and did not include so many gums and polysorbate 80

They were very delicate and were nesrly as good as freshly made macarons. My favorite was the passion fruit, but the caramel pink lemonade were close contenders. The chocolate was interesting. They were chewier than the rest for some reason. At first I thought maybe they may just need to thaw longer, but two days later the consistency was still the same. It didn't taste bad, it just had an interesting texture for a macaron.
