It's a good choice for someone that likes a flavory beer but not so bitter. The tasty is really balanced and personally I love it! One of my favorites! I'd say that is not the one to begin with but once you already drink beer for a while is a good one to try!

I don't know when Heineken Lager Beer 40 became my go to beer choice but it is one I rarely deviate from now. I like it ice cold so you avoid the skunky taste that can appear when it's not stored properly or served at wrong temperature. It's a light lager similiar to Becks Pilsner Beer or even Stella Artois Belgian Import Lager Beer. If you like one, you will more than likely enjoy all three. But Heineken is the best of the three. It pairs well with just about anything but I like it with spicy food bc it's refreshing and cools you down. It's great on a hot day in the hot sun but.. drink it fast because a warm Heineken isn't the most pleasant to drink.

Heineken Original Lager Beer is definitely an acquired taste. It has has a strong skunky taste to it. I don't care for it but I do keep it around the house because it's one of my husbands favorite go to lagers. I'd say give it a try, some people like it as my husband does and some don't like me.

It's a bit more sour than other beers, but I don't know if it's all beers are just like that. I feel like most beer has that nasty taste and after taste when you are just drinking beer and you don't have any other options. Make sure you have this cold and it's a hot day.

I used to drink beer with the hubby in my 20s. I didnt really think much of beer but this is one I don't recommend, it's too strong it gave me a head rush and got me light headed the first time. I figured since it was the first time I ever drank it I would try it again. Lol big mistake we don't get along

It is a good beer for the price. It has a good flavor but someone who doesn't like beer wouldn't like the taste of Heineken. I am not a regular beer drinker but whenever I have to choose I normally go with heineken. I would buy it again if I got the choice.

The first beer I ever tasted was Heineken, and its been mine since. I get alot of jokes from my friends because they feel it's nasty. However it is an acquired tasting beer, and quality isn't for everyone in my opinion. This beer is quality and tastes refreshing, light and has a hint of citrus to it and I love the way it doesn't make me feel heavy.

don't know why this brew gets so much hate here. The taste of your Heineken depends on whether that case is skunked or not. If skunked, it sucks. If fresh, this is a crisp, tasty, enjoyable beer that you can easily throw back several of. I've heard the skunkiness comes from the green bottles which let in more light than brown ones. Whatever, I'm gonna keep enjoying my ice cold Heinekens.

Tastes like: The archetypal lager. Heineken is a super-inoffensive lager with a stronger, bitterer taste than most internationally mass-produced lagers. It's perfectly carbonated, pours a straw yellow colour, with little or no head to speak of. It goes down smoothly when it's ice cold.
