I wish it would catch a lot more but time will tell. Has no odor at all. Very durable little machine. It has a blue light and you turn off the lights at night and it's supposed to attract them. Houseflies have been our biggest issue cos the come in once we open or close the garage doors. Tried different products in the past but this seems to take care of things best. It works great. No noise, no chemicals, no cord, just a light that also works great as a nightlight. I'm sure if my house had more bugs, they'd be in there. Great for any flying insect or that fly that annoys you and you can't kill, this is great, especially if you keep bananas and other fruit out.
