It is good to place it near food. The trap is odorless and can be used as a night light. This is good. Cleans from insects. cartridge, sticky inner part needs to be changed by yourself. They are sold separately. Overall it is good. a nice thing that attracts insects and can serve as a nightlight

It was set up in less than 30 seconds, it does take up a large amount of room in your outlets, so it could not possibly be the lower outlet if you had something else plugged in. I ran mine for two days and got some fruit flies. I was surprised at how intensely blue the light is. Depending on the set up of your house and where you had the plug, I could see the blue glow being annoying.
