I have screens in all of my windows but the kids coming in and out of the door sometimes let's in insects. The blue light attracts it to the sticky pad, but this is not just for gnats, it is amazing to catch small flying bugs but I have also caught big flies in it. And it looks so pretty, especially at night time I use it for a little night light. Sticky pads last forever and catch a great deal of insects on them. I love that they plug right into the wall and I don't have to worry about the pets and kids being around chemicals. If you're thinking about buying one, I promise you won't be disappointed.

The blue light also attracts any insects so I think it works very well! It's easy to maintain, you just have to switch out the sticky piece and plug it back into the wall. It has no liquids and it's super safe and out of reach from my toddler.
