I’m a 58 year old man and I drive commercially about 100,000 miles a year between two half ton trucks and one 3500 one ton truck, Ram and Ford. I have tried many different tire manufacturers from Bridgestone, Toyo, BFG and Goodyear to name a few, I always seem to come back to Michelin Tires. I know many of you are going to say there too expensive but, when you drive the interstate system threw out the USA I want something quite and comfortable and dependable. I was very sorry to here that Michelin was phasing out this tire, I have currently on the Ram a set of defender M/S 2 which are louder at 75 mph by 15% and rougher riding by about 20% over the plain Defender M/S. I fully believe these are the best tires for driving the interstate system by far. Michelin needs to bring back this tire and increase the load range by 200lbs each to reach the manufacturer’s who suggest a rating of 118H on their trucks instead of the old 112T rating.

We purchased the Michelin Defender 2 tires for our SUV in the spring of 2025 and they have exceeded our expectations. They are fantastic in all conditions (except snow, havent had that to try yet) and they handle great. Not only that, but they are quiet and provide a comfortable ride. I am looking forward to using these tires happily for many years to come. Oh, the braking performance is very solid as well. We purchased 235/60/18 for our 2020 Honda Ridgeline.

I purchased these tires for my VW bug. I wanted a quiet tire and a smooth ride as my can is small and if the wrong tire is purchased it can be noisy. These tires are just what I wanted. They are quiet and give a smooth ride. I recommend them highly!

This is my 2nd set of Defender tires. The Defender 1 or original gave me more than 85k safe miles and performed expertly in snow and rain. The Defender 2 allowed my car to hydroplane in a CT flash flood on I-84 at 40 mph. The Defender 1 gave me about 2% better gas mileage.

I originally purchased a set of Goodyear Assurance Max Life tires in September. After putting 8,000 miles on them, I just wasn’t happy with them, especially after the first heavy rain. America’s tire bought the Good Years back and sold me this set of Michelins. I could feel the difference almost immediately. After almost a week on the tires, they are very quiet and smooth, even on rough roads. Have not driven in the rain with them yet, but I am sure they will be excellent. Very happy with these tires.

I installed these tires on Mazda CX 9 2021, less than a month ago, after reading positive reviews about these tires. Disappointed, brand new tires, thumping noise at 100km/hr plus speed .Tire shop recheked it, balance it again, its better, but not the same smoothness as OEM tires Falken Ziex Ct 50. ires, balanced it again. I won't buy or recommend. Wish, could replace it with continental extreme contact.

Have always been a fan of the Michelin tire. Don't know how often your customers get 100,000 miles out of their tires but I am coming up on that magical number. My Honda Accord has 195,000 miles on the odometer and the tires still have 4/32nd left of tread. They were purchased with 99,000 on the odometer, have had 3 low tire pressure warnings but never had one that left me stranded. Will recommend these to my family and friends. I have been driving on michelin tires for 20 years now. I will always be driving on michelin tires. I have been driving now for over 50 years and on many other tire brands as well but michelin tires will always be on my vehicles now. Great company to deal with if you have an issue.

Buying Michelin Tires goes back many years starting with my family. Paying a higher price for a tire is worth every cent and the warranty on the Michelin Defender 2 goes a long way on the wear and tear on the tires. The Defender 2 is a quite and smooth tire and I am very satisfied with the performance of the tire.

I bought the tires a day ago. I did not put to many miles on them in one day, but I can already tell that these are excellent tires. Very quiet, great dry grip and great handling and ride comfort. My old tires (the new tires the car came with) were Goodyear Assurance Finesse. They were quiet, but not very grippy and they only lasted 3 years/40,000 miles.
