Ordered because of price and delivery date. Most places wanted 5 weeks and Sam's said 4 days. Took an extra week and some extra money for lift gate and then moving company to get it inside also extra cost there but finally got it, got it inside and hooked up and loaded. Runs quite in one mode, sounds like a jet plane in another mode and a turbo jet in yet another mode, but it is energy star, only one I could find and it has a chime for if the door has been open too long. Very much like the chime feature. Good freezer and all in all not too bad of an ordeal.

I bought that freezer years ago and came back for the second on. Very good quality.

This unit is now approx. 2.5 years old and we've had too many issues & close calls with this nearly $4,000 Commercial Grade Freezer. There's absolutely nothing more annoying than having to empty a freezer and move stuff because it's not functioning right. I purchased two of these units, 1 Refrigerator & this MCD-49FD freezer. These aren't the cheapy's! I bought through Sams' because I was hoping The Power of Sam's would give us an edge in terms of service and warranty being Business Plus Members. I swear that included additional warranty on these items but somehow I have been mistaken. There are units with better pricing and 5 year warranties on the compressor. This only provides a 1 year warranty on parts & labor. Right now, I'm regretting my purchase.
