Leaked onto the carpet.

It worked fine for about a month. Then one day after refilling as I always did following the instructions, it leaked, A LOT! I had walked away and hadn't noticed. So we had a soaked carpet. I guess it was good that I had moved it to the bedroom where the carpet is, and didn't still have it in the living room with the hardwood floors. Now I don't think I'll be using it again as I don't trust it.

Too risky

It works great until it start leaking. Then you have several gallons of water on your endtable and floor. Troubleshooting says one possibility is with the "Water tank outlet valve", but there's no mention of the valve in the manual aside from this. So in the end, even a good product is worthless if you can't depend on it not to do more damage than it can possibly prevent.

Failure Waiting To Happen!

I've had this humidifier for about a year and a half. I kept it clean and changed the demineralization capsules as recommended. My grandson told me one morning that the carpet around the humidifier was soaking wet! I believe the shut-off float had stopped working and it dumped the full 2 gallon of water all over the bedroom floor! It never really seemed to pit out much vapor and I had it set up o 50% because I have several high value guitars hanging in that bedroom. I don't recommend using this humidifier at all!

Design flaw?

Received as a gift and loved it....initially. After about two weeks it leaked 2 gallons of water onto the wood floor. Thinking it was operator error I cleaned everything up checked the manual for troubleshooting and refilled the tank carefully and voila! Then this morning it happened again. But this time I had placed a thick towel under the unit....just in case. Luckily I was able to avoid a huge leak of 2 gallons of water because I noticed the leaking immediately and stopped filling. After cleaning up the mess I examined the white tank and noticed the spring loaded button was stuck I. What I assume is the open position. I only noticed it because the tank was still poring water from the opening after removing it from the base. I thought that was odd since the manual says you can fill from the faucet. Why fill from the faucet if it will leak on the way to the base? I pressed on the button and it popped into place and stopped leaking instantly. Aha! So I wondered how that happened since I fill the tank with bottled water at the base and not at the faucet. My suspicion is the blue filter that looks like a horse pill that gets dropped in the tank settles to the bottom and rests on or next to that botton and puts just enough pressure on it that causes it to misalign with the base and it remains open. Just a theory from a curious housewife. It now sits in a tote to catch any water. Will hold onto it for now. Not sure if I will return it because it works great otherwise.

OK at first, then problems start

We bought two of these and they worked fine when new. But after a while problems started. Both units spilled all the water out on the floor, 2 gallons all over the floor for no apparent reason. Then the units stopped working entirely. Lights still go on, but no steam is produced. Tried cleaning, still didn't work. Can't seem to fix them.

Not good

Large takes up a lot of space, intermittent stops mist for no reason. Will return and get another smaller reasonably priced.
