We like this kit, but to be honest we don't use it as intended. Rather, we buy along with the Sam's Caesar salad and we warm up the gyro meat from this kit to mix into a salad, with the tzatziki sauce as well, and my wife and I get two excellent meals out of it. We put the pitas in the fridge and use them for other stuff. ;-)

So good as long as you don’t follow the microwave instructions. Thankfully I only cooked about a 1/3 of it in the microwave. Followed instructions and the meat came out like flavored cardboard, or what I imagined flavored cardboard would taste like. Not very appetizing. But cooked in the skillet. Wowsers it’s good. And there is a lot of meat! The bread could be better, but the meat made up for the lackluster bread. I thought there was plenty of sauce, but I didn’t douse the gyros in sauce. I wanted to taste the meat, not the sauce.

The taste of meat and tzatziki was good. However, the serving size of 6 was inaccurate. There was barely enough to feed 2 people. The Mexican-tasting sauce was misplaced with this product. I planned on feeding my family, but could barely feed 2 people.

The food item was expired when I bought it and I didn’t realize until I went to prepare it the next night. It had expired 4 days prior to purchase date. I was not going back to an area near a Sam’s within 2 weeks, so it was thrown out and not able to return. Lesson learned, always check dates! Was not able to try and was super bummed since I LOVE gyros!

I thought I would try this as we love gyros and I was in the club anyway. We didn’t find it to be easily or convenient (had to pan fry the gyro meat to get the correct texture), portion was small, and the tzatziki sauce provided was more like ranch dressing. Everything was…off. One and done for us.

Very disappointed wih this purchase/item. No Best By or any type of production date/information at all on packaging or any items included- completely unacceptable!! Sauces was not sealed fully & leaked all over everything making a huge mess and very annoying!!

A good amount of meat for the price. I’d encourage you to pan fry the meat vs microwave to get a little of the crispy bits on the meat and remove some of the fat. Pita won’t allow you to stuff them, you’ll have to use it like a tortilla. Nowhere near enough tzatziki so make sure to get a container of that too! But it tastes pretty good for prepackaged. Personally, I’d rather just get a gyro meat package and buy the pita I want!

This was excellent! At first I was hesitant because the ingredients seemed kind of plain. We added bell peppers and onions, no other seasonings added to meat. It fed me for lunch and then my husband and I finished it for dinner. The sauces are so good! I'm not the biggest fan of feta but I knew it would be good with the other ingredients put together. would absolutely recommend!

We are always looking for something fast and easy for busy nights. This was delicious! I am always cautious with gyros because I do not like when the meat is thick, to my delight this was nice and thin. Not greasy at all. We just added onion and tomato. We used the feta to make feta french fries as a side. I just wish it was two tzatzikis instead of the other sauce. Everything is individually package which kept it all very fresh. We would definitely buy it again.

I was skeptical that pitas would suffer being in the kit but they were decent-soft w mild flavor vs flour tortilla-like blandness. At room temp, 30 sec tops in dry MED skillet worked. Meat sautéed up quickly as well too. Sure there were fat drippings but that's part of the deal-just blot out like bacon. I just added lettuce, red onions, tomato and Pepperochini and voila! I did extend sauces w dollop of good greek yogurt, cayenne, lemon and oregano so no one had to skimp.
