This is the first electric toothbrush I have ever had (I am 64). I feel that my teeth are cleaner, love the timer and generally everything. But, I wish the charger had some type of light on it. How do I know that it is actually charging? I question that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Oral-B 500 from Oral-B for free to review. I have used the product for 7 consecutive days. I should start by saying that I have used another very popular electric toothbrush for years now so this was a change for me. The toothbrush charged very well over night and held it's charge for about 2 days then it had to be plugged in again over night. Using the toothbrush for the first time took some getting used to. It is very loud compared to my old toothbrush and much more abrasive. It worked really well at getting the job done, my teeth were clean and felt clean after each use. I did enjoy using something new for a bit but I don't think I can get used to how loud it is and how much harder it was on my teeth and gums. I won't totally give up on it though because it does work really well. I have thought about looking for another Oral B toothbrush that is a step or 2 above this one if it even exists to give that a try. Overall I would recommend this product just know it may take a bit of getting used to.

I was super excited to try this campaign. I immediately opened the tooth brush and used it for days. I have really sensitive gums and found that it was causing my gums to bleed. I went and bought a different head for it and still found I was having the same issue. I think it is a well made tooth brush I love how it beeps so you know when to switch quadrant. It holds a charge extremely well. Overall I am extremely happy with it but found myself going back to a manual brush only because the extremely fast rotation causes my gums to bleed.

I didn't even mention the switch, but my dentist commented that my teeth looked better than ever! I already thought that they looked clean, and I knew that they felt cleaner than ever, but to have this confirmation from my dentist was great! I absolutely have made the switch, after using a standard brush my entire life.

i think this electronic tooth brush is great ive never used one before but the oral b 500 does an amazing job n leaves my mouth feeling clean and fresh. since trying this product i have purchased another oral b 500 just like it for my son to use. now he normally hates brushing his teeth but now that he uses the oral b 500 he has been brushing his teeth on a daily basis... thank you oral b 500 we love it!!!

I love my new Oral-B pro 500 powered by Braun toothbeush. This toothbrush doesn't require any batteries. The base plugs into the wall. You set the brush on top to charge. A full charge will last several days, but its best to place on charger after every use. The cord is a decent length. This toothbrush has a nice grip to it. It won't slip out of you're hand and fall into the sink. The brush head is replacable. Replacing the brush head is simple. You just pull the old one off and slide a new one on. The on/off button you press with you're thumb. This tooth brush is very powerful and removes more plaque than my old brush. The brush head is round just like my dentists. The bristles in the outside are higher than the middle bristles. This is perfect because is cleans all sides of you're teeth. You don't need to press down very hard while using this brush. This brush pauses every 30 seconds to remind you to switch to the top teeth, fronts, and backs. I really love this brush. I've told all my friends about my new oral b pro 500. I told then my teeth always feel like I just got a cleaning by the dentist.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For starters i would like to point out that i have never used an electric toothbrush until now, and i can honestly say after testing this i will never go back to a normal toothbrush again. My teeth feel so clean after using This. Its like that feeling you get after you leave the dentist. At first my gums dod bleed a little bit but im assuming becuase i havent been getting as good of a brush job. Also im a big coffeee drinker and occasional smoker.. and i did have stains on my teeth. This toothbrush is actually removing these stains. I couldnt believe it! Overall im super satisfied with this toothbrush and would recommend it to anyone! Im going to keep buying th heads for it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted so badly to love the Oral-B Pro 500. My husband had been using an Oral-B toothbrush for many years and he LOVES it. I thought it would be so cute to have his and her electric toothbrushes setting on the counter. Lol Unfortunately, after having used it for 4 weeks, I could no long take it. After using it my teeth didn't feel as clean and polished as when I use my manual toothbrush. While brushing, I would splatter toothpaste all over the mirror, my face and even my glasses. I asked my husband what I was doing wrong and his reply was to keep my mouth shut. But, that's his reply to many things. I won't be using it because it was costing me a fortune in window cleaner and eyeglass cleaner. I will save it for when and if my husbands's Oral-B ever dies.
