We found this product to be better than expected. I was in the market for a VPL flooring and had picked out a product at Lowe's called SmartCore. It was priced approximately $4.29 per sqft. While shopping at Sam's I came across the SpillDefense flooring that was significantly priced cheaper but it did not give up on quality. We selected the Barnwood product and purchased 100 boxes at $23 for 12 sqft. The flooring looks natural and was easy to install that included basic wood cutting. The flooring is solid at 14mm thick and is easy to snap in place and only required basic flooring tools such as a rubber mallet.

Love the flooring as it makes our house look so much better, updated. I have two dogs, one over 100 lbs and they are constantly chasing each other. There are no scratches from them on the flooring, which we put everywhere except 2 bedrooms. Very pleased!

I'm just now starting the install. Seems like a quality product and goes together easily. Really cuts like a dream with both a 10 inch miter saw and scrolling saw. Looks just as good as the photos. Beautiful finish. For the price at Sam's, it's a steal.

The quality of the laminate flooring is good. I chose the thicker laminate and installed it over concrete. It’s impressively quiet when you walk on it. My only disappointment was how many boxes were damaged. I bought a whole pallet and about 6 boxes were damaged. I will buy this product again.

Although more difficult to install in tight locations than other plank laminates and vinyls I've used, the quality is far superior and trumps the minor challenges I encountered. Bottom Line: This is an outstanding high-quality product...you won't be sorry when you've finish the job and see the excellent results.

Seems to be a good solid product. We liked the thickness of it and felt more solid than the thinner products we looked at. We hired someone to lay it and are very glad we did since going around corners and getting up next to the wall with the correct side was a bit challenging. We definitely love the look of the flooring and feel like it will match whatever we put in those rooms. Haven't totally finished putting trim on top and moving furniture back in to the bedrooms, but we plan to continue this flooring throughout the den and other living areas.

Installed the barnwood style in my living room, foyer and dining room. We had to watch a few different you tube videos to figure it out. But once we did, It was so easy to install that my 13 year old did most of the living room herself. Love the finished look. It definitely needs the right complimentary paint colors -- something with brown, yellow or green undertones to make it pop. It's only been down for 2 weeks but seems to be holding up great to my 3 dogs. My son even kicked a paint can over on it in the foyer and we were able to clean it up easily without any residue or problems.

This is the first time that I've tried the water-resistant version of Sam's laminate flooring I have used Sam's regular laminate on dozens of floors for many years and tenants have always liked them, and they have held up reasonably well in dry areas. I just installed this Spill Defense, it looks great, and I expect good things! The boards had a very thin layer of glue that I could sometimes feel along the sealing surfaces. That stickiness caused me to have to give an extra, light tap or two on many boards to get that incredible extra tight seal. This floor is truly much tighter than the older laminate, and I think it's going to work great! I'll probably use it on my next floor as well!

I installed this in my basement over a concrete floor. It is easy to work with and looks great. Definitely waterproof if you seal around the edges with silicone. The door in my walkout basement was open when it started raining shortly after I laid the floor. Fortunately, I had already put a bead of silicone down by the door and was able to simply wipe up the water. The only negative is not about the product but the trim pieces available. I would love to put this on my stairs leading to the basement, but I cannot find a stair nose to do so and the only trim available comes in a package so you have to buy pieces you don’t need to get the ones you do need.

Final outcome was great, but installation was challenging. We’ve installed flooring in the past with no challenges, but this was difficult to get the pieces to fit together without a lot of manual persuasion. It also damaged easily when using the flooring tools. This resulted in having to order more flooring even after adding 10% more as recommended. We did the entire 2nd floor of our house. We also did stairs and chose this particular product because it had stair nose moldings. The stair nose color was slightly different from the actual flooring. In the end we’re satisfied but not thrilled.
