I applied the conditioner from route to tip and then promptly rinsed it. I did that because I have fine, thin hair and didn't want it to be oily. I discovered I don't have to worry about oily hair because this conditioner is not very hydrating or smoothing for me. This conditioner definitely didn't weigh my hair down. My hair had volume, but was kind of frizzy. It did seems to add shine to my hair.
