I live in south Texas where we have our own sun. I don't like wearing shorts a lot but jeans get to feeling like denim saran wrap. These are exactly what I was looking for. Perhaps you should order them in a size under your normal waistline as they do have a quality stretch to them.

I discovered these pants last year and after buying a test pair, bought three more for myself, and three for my father in law. I love the look and feel of these pants. They are great for hiking/outdoor activities, but don't have that bulky/pocket overload look of typical outdoor oriented pants. My wife hates them, but only because I wear them almost everyday, but I can't help myself! I had three little petty gripes about last years pants. One, the pockets in the back are slightly lower than I prefer, but I can't even call it an annoyance, it's just different than I would prefer. Secondly, they make a little bit more noise as you walk as compared to a normal pant. Lastly, even though I specifically like the clean, uncluttered look of thee pants, I did wish that there was a small inconspicuous pocket on the leg. Well, it's like they heard my wish! There is a small, inconspicuous pocket on the back side of the right leg! It's literally exactly what I wanted, and now they have it! I have now bought an additional pair, and two pairs for my brother in law, with more likely to follow. I have $100 Patagonia pants that are better, but these are 90% as good, at 15% the price. You cannot go wrong. The only downsides I have

I am very pleased with these pants, especially for the price. The pocket placement is my only con. The back pockets are low for my liking and the front pockets sit in a weird angle from what I'm used to. However, I will no knock the fit, quality, or comfort. Again, you will have to work hard to find a better pant for the price.
