I’m not sure what makes a rug “pet friendly” but I would not recommend this rug whatsoever. Yea the color is nice, but the fact that it slides all over the place makes it a hazard

It is pet and kid friendly, which is a huge plus. It's washable too. Not only does it look good and compliments our living room, it stays put and gets the job done. Beautiful rug we highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First impressions weren't great. The mat was thinner than expected, but I decided to give it a chance. For starters, the mat came folded in half, which is great. I didn't have to fight to get the corners to stay down or anything. Just lay it on the floor and continue my day. I immediately noticed that it seemed to actively hold onto the floor and not slide around which was a nice touch especially since I have a couple aggressive shoe rubbers that often visits my home. After a bit of use, I tossed it in the laundry and to my surprise it cleaned very easily in my washer. After it dried, I tossed it back on the floor and just like before it clung to the floor with no problem. OK, I'm sold.
