The state tax was wrong. I did my taxes on the State's website and it gave me a MUCH different result. I will not buy the state again, it was a waste of time and money. The IRA entries for Federal are confusing and don't provide any help. Why do they ask for the amount from form 5498 when it isn't available until May? Is it even necessary, I am not over 73, so there is no reason to include this information.

TurboTax made it very easywas to complete our family taxes. Clear, concise and accurate. Very compatible to our software and appreciated the ability to transfer last year's turbotax submission information into the current year, saved quite a few steps and time. Being a longtime user very pleased.

I don't understand how Turbotax could import my W2, auto-select the classifications used for amounts listed in box 14 on my w2, go through every accuracy check, telling me that my return was 100% accurate with no audit risk, let me start the e-filing process, collect my payment for the e-filing process, and then pop up with a note saying that my return needed review ONLY because I was efiling. It asked me to either correct an error that it suddenly decided was present in my W2 or change my filing method. When I corrected the error that the software created, it REDUCED MY REFUND by $1000. After telling me that the classification was ONLY a problem if I efiled. So the software would have told my return was accurate if I chose to mail it. This makes absolutely no sense. The error that it caught during the last step of efile submission should have been caught at any of the other review steps in the process. I'm extremely disappointed in this software.

Everything was great. My only additional hope was to learn more about the depreciation options for the new pole building I constructed last year for my business. Was hoping to learn more about the 15 year depreciation option and when that applies instead of just doing the 39 year depreciation. But all fine.

I have used Turbo Tax for 15+ years. This year I thought it had been stripped of much of the useful and interesting information. Doing your own taxes should be educational. There seemed to be fewer "need help" or "?" opportunities on many pages. There used to be opportunities to "learn more" in most areas. Some topics needed more detail, and none was provided. More than once I had to go out and consult Chat GPT or goggle. There was an emphasis on "getting the largest refund possible", without explaining that it is your own money, not a gift, and that if you plan your tax year properly, your refund should be minimal. Eliminating access to "it's Deductible" was a another disappointment. Searching on-line for an alternative, did not provide the seamless access of prior years.

I don't know how to say this, but it seemed much more difficult than previous years. Previously, I did not have to give the amount of RMD. Also, the download was not easy. I had to shut down and start over. The first download seemed to take me directly to filling out the personal info for us without putting in the license code.

I HAVE USED TURBO TAX FOR 15 YEARS PROBABLY. THIS IS THE S E I HAV HAD SUCH A PROBLEM WITH A 1095 ERROR AND IRS WOULD NOT ACCEPT MY RETURN BECAUSE OF SOME BOX NOT BEING CHECKED THAT SAYS I DIDNT PURCHASE ANY HEALTH INSURANCE MARKET PLACE COVERAGE IN 2025. I HOPE THIS LATEST TRANSMITTAL GOES THROUG. I HAVE WORKED ON THIS ALL DAY TODAY. THAT SHOULDN'T HAPPEN.

2025 version of Turbo Tax was incomplete, having to manually enter some information by forms. The UI was very inconsistent compared to previous years. For example graphics displayed implied you could click, however, you had to scroll down to click Continue. UI varied between sections sometimes displaying a pencil image for editing and other times and Edit box. Some boxes showed Revisit and after going in to the section the prompt did not change, implying you had to revisit again.

I always have used the downloaded version, I'm used to it. I am concerned about the online version. I need to talk with one of you about the pros and cons. I suggest having a quick overview of new tax law provisions at the beginning to know what to expect. I spent an hour or more looking this up myself . Also provide an easier way to figure out Identity Protection PIN - it's buried deep in the "Other tax situations" with limited explanation.

A few glitches this year but overall excellent. The whole Canadian business regarding retirement was weird and it took going to the chat to get it cleaned up and removed from my return. I file very early so I guess it takes time for these things to show up???
