It smells like chicken bouillon mixed with an incense shop. It tastes terrible. I can't even put into words. There's nothing like lemon. Nothing like lemon or honey. Opened it, smelled it, sprinkled it on a dish, immediately threw it in the trash. Now my entire house smells awful

First, the smell right out of the jar is very disconcerting - it's not lemon, like I thought a Meyer Lemon would be. As someone said, it's likely the overpowering turmeric. I like turmeric but I have a bottle of turmeric and wanted a spice that would seem summery and light and a sweet/tart lemon. That definitely isn't this. Second, when I use it I don't get the lemon flavor at all, or much of a flavor period. Considering how it smells, I'm a bit thankful for the latter. Will be going back to my Lemon Pepper! BTW, I've a pantry full of Kinder spices but this one is definitely at the back.
