Daytime temperatures need to consistently be above 65 degrees F. This Grass Seed will germinate best when temperatures are consistently in the 65-80 degree F range. In the spring it takes a lot of consistent warm temperatures to warm up the soil, especially in Canada. Cool nighttime temperatures and fluctuating temperatures will slow germination. Cold weather will delay germination but will not hurt the seed. Both excessive moisture and not enough moisture can inhibit seed germination.
