I can't find what variety or varieties of grass seed this formula contains but it's performance has been nothing short of miraculous...where I used left over Miracle Grow all purpose potting soil for my 'top soil'. Ive had great success in other areas where I used Scott's Top Soil in the red bag...but takes longer. The pictures I included are from day 7 where I used the Miracle Grown potting mix. Neighbors have been pulling over to inquire how I grew it so quickly.

I have used Scott's products for 43 years. I purchase each product on sale and find it to be heads above all other products; as I have tried others with no ,resolute, avail.

I decided to save money and stop paying fertilizer companies to do a nominal job of caring for my yard. I am so glad I switched. I am saving money and my lawn is looking amazing.

Very Disappointed. Purchased for my 80 something year old Dad's project yard . Usually meticulous . Gave extra time before reviewing. These seed did not even come up.

I have not actually used this at this time but I think it will work as it states. I received this quickly and without any delays or damage. I have not been so lucky with the following orders.

Bought the large bag hoping to seed a somewhat shady area in my backyard. For whatever reason, germination on growth was poor. Wish I could return but three out the bag and receipt. My recommendation is to buy Lesco which I used for my front yard which grew great.

Last spring I spread Scott's sun & shade grass seed over a 100 square yard area in my lawn. The seed was planted in fresh lawn soil. During the summer and fall, the location looked wonderful. Now this spring, the area is dead as it was before I seeded it. I followed all instructions, and I am very disappointed. It's like there wasn't any perennial seed in the mixture. I paid more, thinking Scott's seed was reputable, but I'm thinking I was mistaken.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was the first time using the Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Sun & Shade Mix. We have sandy soil and dry, with this mix I was able to fill in spots in the lawn that were challenging in the past. NIce to have this option!

Don't waste your money, but a no name brand or CIL product. My second time disappointed. I reseeded a an area of my front lawn. The store only had Scotts, I reluctantly purchased a bag. A week later, I reseeded part of my backyard lawn with a No Name brand. 7-8 days later the NoName brand showed signs of growth, nothing on the Scotts area. The watering process was the same for both areas. 3 weeks later No Name brand is showing great signs of growth. The Scotts nothing. Reseeded the Scotts area with the noname brand. 7-8 days later grass growth in the front yard.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product as an "over seeding" to a troubled lawn with great results. The lawn can back rich and lush as if it were new sod. It did help that we got a lot of rain to supplement my watering.
