These are awesome, if you like French onion soup!

Good idea but

I received a reimbursement for this product to leave an honest review.

The puff pastry portion of this appetizer was tasty and had good texture, however, the filling left a lot to be desired. I'm a big fan of real French Onion soup, but the filling was almost too "oniony," along with being too salty. It had a thick texture that didn't give a great mouthfeel. I probably would not recommend these to a friend unless they are really in the mood for an heavily onion-flavored snack.

Great If You Love Onions

I'm not sure if I got a bad batch but these taste like I'm eating a salt lick.  All I get is the flavor or salt and nothing else.

So Salty

French Onion Puff Pastry, 24 count was not tasteful at all. I would not taste the onion soup favor. I allow the pastry to cook as directed and the dough was chewy. It baked well and was indeed puffy. The onion puffy was attractive and I liked the pastry size. I would not purchase the French Onion Puff Pastry again.

My wife and I tried these election night. Instructions were easy and the puff pastries came out golden brown and crisp. I enjoyed the taste quite a bit and it did remind of French onion soup that I have had in the past. Well, with one exception. I had ZERO taste of cheese. That was the missing piece to replicate French Onion Soup. I probably wouldn't buy these again unless they amped up the cheese. Don't get me wrong, they were good but without the cheese taste you get from a classic French Onion Soup they were just good.
