[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First lets start off that this is an absolutely beautiful mattress, expensive but beautiful. But getting straight to it, for the price, the craftmanship should be wayyyy better. There were tons of stray threads all over the mattress which to me is unacceptable for the price. There are "nooks/divots" all over the mattress which can be slightly uncomfortable if your used to your traditional smooth mattress. I especially don't like this feature around the edges of the mattress because when you sit at the edge of the bed it feels like it is sinking in but it is not. When it comes to the comfort of the bed I received the medium pillow top. My mattress before was a firm and I would rotate using a memory foam topper ever 6 months. The first 2 weeks on this mattress was an absolute nightmare! I could not fall asleep, tossed and turned and woke up with constant back pain. For reference I am 5'9 200+ lbs and sleep alone so I had tons of room to roam on the mattress. By week 3 I was sleeping through the night and since then, every night is the best sleep I have ever had! You will have to break in this mattress which is a bit disappointing due to the price. The mattress is firm but still comfy, soft and welcoming without feeling suffocated. I attribute this to the pillow top giving added comfort. There is no noise (squeaks) when getting on/off the mattress and movement does not transfer if you are sharing the mattress with a child or partner. The mattress does sit quite high on the box spring but I like that since I am tall myself. I've had it for 2 months and it is holding up well, no sagging or anything. I expect this mattress to last a lifetime!

Purchased another Stearns mattress and within 6 months it sank 2", I had to file a claim and this is the second one I purchased. The other was discontinued so I was at first worried about a firm pillow top that my store had but one nights sleep was good. I have severe back pain and needing a hip replacement in 2 months. So far feels great. Wasn't too firm. Comfortable to sleep in. Hoping this one will last! Can't say yet if it helps with pain because I'm in a lot of pain but I know the last one was great at first.

It is the perfect amount of cushion from the pillow top to give about 3 inches of plush comfort to the firm mattress. The mattress almost cradles you so that any position is comfortable. The mattress is firm enough to support weight on the edge of the bed without feeling as if you will roll off. Mattress bounces back every morning and does not leave indentations where bodies slept. The mattress does not make any creaking sounds when you move around at night either. Love the mix of comfort and support!

The S&F Lux Estate Medium PT didn't work for me. It had too much memory foam that I sank into causing lower back and hip pain. I am a side sleeper and occasionally sleep on my back. It also slept hot because of all the memory foam. I exchanged it for the S&F Estate Plush tight top which is perfect and costs less.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of the most comfortable mattresses I have ever had. It's soft yet firm that you don't sink into the mattress. I love the dark blue color of it and the designs. You don't feel any coils. It's extremely thick that if you have a newer bed you dont have to have a box springs under it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Medium Pillowtop - Queen is, by far, the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. The pillowtop makes me feel like I'm sleeping on a soft, pillowy cloud and I can tell by the design, this mattress is durable and will last for a long time . I really like the elegant look of the mattress as well. I definitely recommend this mattress to anyone looking for outstanding comfort and quality.

WARNING NOTICE: I purchased an ultra firm pillow top mattress that was a floor model. I like the firmness. It was perfect for two years. I rotated every 6 months. I now have hump in the middle of the mattress. You don't see it. You just feel it. Sterns and Foster does not back up their products under any condition or defect from floor models. Although I don't know the history of this mattress on a showroom floor, I can't imagine that I should have this happen after two years. Just letting the public know.

I am very disappointed in the Stearns and Foster Lux Estate 16" Medium Euro Pillow top mattress King Prime model. After paying over $4000 for such a mattress and only after 6 months, I would hope that it would at least not sag yet. The center of the mattress is like rolling up on a hill. Both sides of the mattress have indentations where my partner and I sleep. Neither of us is a heavy person. I might expect something like this to happen with a soft mattress, but this one of the reasons that we have selected medium.

I have the Lux Estate Soft Pillowtop. Its a VERY hot mattress to sleep on. I have never been a hot sleeper but on this mattress, I have turned into one thanks to the Tempur Indulge foam. (This is NOT my first rodeo with memory foam). I have tried 100% Bamboo sheets, low thread count sheets, no mattress protector, and keeping my thermostat at 67 degrees while I sleep. Nothing has helped me sleep cool on this mattress. I even called Stearns' customer service and the Rep said that the cooling cover on the Lux Estate just doesn't work well for everyone. I stopped by a local mattress store yesterday and spoke with the salesman about the heat issues on this mattress. He wasnt shocked and actually told me he expects to hear more complaints about this bed holding heat. He agreed that the vents on the side of the mattress are more cosmetic than anything. It doesnt aid in cooling the mattress whatsoever. I am currently in the process of trying to buy a new (non Stearns and Foster) bed. Aside from the heat, the mattress is comfy for the 3 weeks I have had it. Its a medium soft feel and I am a strict side sleeper.

The first night was a little rough adjusting from a very soft to a very firm mattress. However since that first night i don't think i have ever woken up feeling so refreshed in a long time. I used to wake up several times a night, unfortunate result from insomnia. But, since getting this mattress, my nightly wake ups have been significantly less and even none a few nights. My back isn't hurting as much. But perhaps the best part is myself and my husband are not snoring as much. I have enjoy the height of the mattress, it is taller than our old one.
