[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I switched from a traditional innerspring mattress to Sealy's posturepedic plus hybrid medium. All my life, I had followed the mantra that a firm and stiff mattress is best for your back. But as an aging side-sleeper, my back began to hurt when sleeping on my firm mattress (which was not sagging). It took me a few days to get used to the new softer mattress, but my back feels so much better--when sleeping on the side AND sleeping on my back. I love my new mattress and should have switched years earlier.

The best past is no back pain whatsoever. The firm mattress is supportive but doesn't cause undue discomfort on pressure points.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am getting the best sleep I have in years & waking up with the least lower back stiffness I have in years. I had 2 lower back surgeries 20+ years ago & ever since have had to do various exercises before I even get out of bed, then more exercises after I get out of bed before I am able to tackle the day. I also have lower back spasms flare up while I sleep. We bought the Posturepedic Plus split CA king because we have had one in queen size for the last 5 years & it was much better on my back than any mattress we had ever owned previously, and my wife sometimes has to sleep with her head elevated while I have to sleep flat. Well, it turns out that the new split CA king is even better than our queen & solves our wife head up/ husband flat dilemma perfectly. As I stated at the beginning, My back now feels better when I wake up than it has since before my back surgeries, having very little stiffness & allowing me to get out of bed without having to do exercises first. I am continuing to do my regular morning exercises & am able to do them much more comfortably than I have in years. So far, no middle of the night spasms either. I can't recommend the Posturepedic Plus mattress highly enough. If I could, I'd give it more than 5 stars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced a split Cal King mattress and base from another retailer that we did not like and ordered a SEALY Cal King mattress. Ordered it direct from SEALY. Salesman was fantastic to work with and answered all my questions over the phone. We had already laid on it at another retailer so we knew what it felt like. SEALY gave us a 90 day sleep trial which the other retailer would not plus we got in on their bonus gift sheet/pillows/mattress cover. Delivery came earlier than expected and was easy to coordinate with delivery personnel. So far we are pleased with the comfort and support this mattress offers. The hybrid seems to offer more support and we are not sinking into it too much like other foam mattresses. We have only had it 9 days so far but we are sleeping much better. It works well with our adjustable base.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mattress is very sturdy, heavy, and well built. My husband says I fall asleep faster. But I do notice myself tossing and turning alot due to neck, shoulder, and back pain. That is why I give it a 4 stars out of 5. It didn't help with that issue as I hoped for. I tried all different kinds of pillows that didn't help either.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hybrid firm mattress allows for a restful night's sleep. Appears to be well made. My issue is that it's very difficult to get the bedding on the mattress. The mattress is dense, heavy and not bendable at all. It takes both of us to get the fitted sheet on and to lift the end of the mattress to get the sheet and blanket tucked in. I was not expecting this challenge and am currently in the yes/no position of returning it. We are both active seniors, but each week we struggle. In hindsight, perhaps we should have researched this type of mattress further, but we couldn't find a retailer in our area. The on-line purchase experience with Sealy was easy and delivery was within a very reasonable time frame. The delivery service provider was efficient with the set up the new product and removal of the old.

It's been a month and the mattress is okay, not the worst but definitely not worth the money. I am going to return this item. I would probably never buy Sealy again customer service is probably the worst in the industry. I ordered sheets and pillows with my mattress. These were never delivered Sealy refuses to refund. Also when my mattress was delivered the employees broke a wood stair molding and I am still waiting and fighting with Sealy on this issue. I had to pay out of pocket to repair this. I've sent Sealy the receipts and it's been 4 weeks and same old story the check is in the mail. Do not buy a mattress from Sealy they are horrible.
