Instructions were fairly straightforward. Problems came when it came time to put the left and right arm rests together on the floor, back and front. It was an absolute nightmare attempting to fit it all together. Based on the good reviews, I can only imagine they have changed the design/molding process. The aluminum bar which was screwed into the plastic front to help stabilize the frame became an impediment to assembling the sides to the frame. Further, the plastic molding didn't fit properly and the side armrest piece cracked while trying to fit it all together. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. We disgustedly disassembled and re-packaged the pieces and is going back.

The bench is decent, sturdy and it didn't take long to assemble. However, I've had it for over a year now and the one thing I don't like about it is the quality. We have this on our pool deck. When it rains, water gets in into the storage area and there are usually lizards and frogs that end up in there. Pretty gross. Not worth it if you're planning on storing equipment. The actual storage unit that's $99 is of much better value and quality.

Wife bought this to store some pool supplies. Everything was going together with minor difficulty until we reached assembling the sides of the box. The procedure calls for snapping the sides into the partially assembled box. No matter how hard we tried, we couldn't get the two plastic bonds to match in the holes. The holes were off and would not line up. We managed to get one in after an hour of frustration. The last one refused to go in. It took another hour and half to finally get it in the hole. This bench is about as cheap as they come. Do not buy this crap!! Two stars is very generous because it does look on.

Instructions looked pretty basic...easy to follow pictures. Until the parts didn't fit together! Simple plug should go into hole and twist to lock. First plug, no problem. Second plug, an hour wasted trying to make it fit into hole that was not cut out properly. Then all was good until trying to attach back rest onto bench. No amount of force would get it into position. Called Keter, because it looked to be defective. Was told I could return deckbox to store...or go online and request new part. The deckbox bench was just what I wanted...at least in the picture. Finished product was not. May end up returning...if I can get access to a truck!

Do not understand all the reviews mentioning “sturdy”. Piece of trash and definitely do not recommend. Arrived with broken pieces laying in bottom of shipping box and went downhill from there. Thin plastic NOT sturdy at all. Warped and impossible to fit some of the pieces together. Would have returned if not for 170 mile round trip to do so. Did not expect it to be waterproof and it isn't for all who are inquiring.

It took a bit to putc together. Didn't realize it was plastic.

Very difficult to assemble. Pictures for assembly. Very hart to decipher. Lots of flashing. Package arrived torn and retaped.

Not one bit sorry we bought this. There's waterproof storage and the seat is reasonably comfortable. You can't just throw it together, but the directions were very clear and easy to follow. Just don't try to rush through it.
