We are sorry for this experience with the cooker, Stuart. A deep cleaning can help restore its performance. We recommend soaking the surface overnight in hot, soapy water and then thoroughly washing it the next morning.To maintain the superior nonstick performance of your cookware, we suggest the following tips: 1)Always cook in LOW TO MEDIUM HEAT, to avoid metal fatigue, warping, deformation, non-stick coating deterioration, chipping, and discoloration caused by high heat and thermal shock. 2) HAND WASHING RECOMMENDED though DISHWASHER SAFE. 3) Always cool down the cookware to room temperature before washing it to avoid any damage to the nonstick surface. 4) Also, we advise not allowing the open fire to climb on the wall. If you are still unhappy, please know the cooker can be returned for a full refund as part of the Member's Mark 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.
