My first impression of this was that the powder smelled a lot like Fruity Pebbles, which I of course remember from childhood. That impression largely holds up once you actually mix it into a shake, particularly the first sip you take. That said, the flavor fades a bit on the back end of each sip, leaving you with the somewhat expected chalky feeling and after taste that I find pretty common in protein shake mixes. Perhaps that's because the powder did not all dissolve no matter how much or how long I seemed to mix it with the liquid, but again, that's pretty typical of these shake mixes. The amount each packet makes is fairly small (5-6 oz), although I can see how that's a good thing when you're using it for extra protein or recovery as opposed to a meal replacement that you want to savor a bit. I'd also say that it's much better when mixed with milk as opposed to water, which isn't that surprising, but the richness does suffer a bit when you use water. Overall, the flavor hits the mark so if you're into fruity pebbles and are looking for a new protein shake to try out, I'd give this one a shot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this powder. I tried it in two different ways. First, I mixed in a protein bowl with oats, blueberries, and almond milk. It smelled and tasted just like Fruity Pebbles, but mixed really hard, like concrete. However, it was still edible and had no ill effects on my digestion. Second, I tried it mixed in a blender bottle with ice and water. I don't know what it tasted like because it smelled rancid and I could not stomach trying it. It looked like mixed well, but maybe has different properties between water and almond milk. I would not purchase this because my regular protein powder works like a want it to and smells good.

Some tasted horrible, some tasted great: Some of the great tasting ones had horrible nutrition, where most of the horrible tasting ones had the nutrition I needed. Luckily, this Dymatize ISO100 whey isolate powder has both! With the Fruity Pebbles flavor, I used mine to make a recipe I came up years ago I call Jello Fluff. The only thing I will say that made me give this powder 4 stars instead of 5 is that the texture left a little something to be desired. When making my "fluff", it got all nice and fluffy like it usually does when I'm preparing it, but when I put it in the fridge to set, it partially separated and lost all of it's fluff. When I ate it, you could feel the protein powder inside the jello itself. It still tasted great, but it just didn't dissolve all the way like other powders have for me, which is what caused the "fluff" to deflate. If you're using this to make a protein shake, it's likely to be great and with a texture similar to other whey isolate powders, it just didn't work in my recipe. Pros: tastes great, great and balanced nutrition Cons: not a great texture

I did not prefer the flavor on its own, I also found that after sitting for a minute or so, it looked like it started to separate. I added a banana to it and that made it taste better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received my samples of Dymatize, I tried it when I needed energy to clean my house. I mixed it with plain room temperature water. It took a moment to dissolve. As I was stirring it, the smell was delicious. After drinking Dymatize, the taste was good, a little on the sweet side. After about 45 minutes, my energy level was heightened and I was ready to tackle cleaning my house. I did not have the caffeine jitters that I get from other protein drinks.

I misxed mine with both oat milk for one packet and almond milk for another packet. I saw no idfference in taste between the two options.
