[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Stearns & Foster sent me this Lux Estate Soft Pillowtop Mattress in queen size for free so that I could review it. For that, I am incredibly grateful! I honestly wasn't expecting much from the mattress. As someone who suffers from an autoimmune disease, I've grown accustomed to aches and pains. For background, I added a 3" memory foam topper to my old bed just to sleep comfortably. My family likes to travel, and I actually take memory foam with me to try to make sleeping on a different mattress tolerable. I expected this new mattress to be a similar experience. I planned to try it for a few nights so that I could provide my (expected to be negative) point of view and then compare/contrast with my husband's opinion while I went back to my 3" memory foam. Now here I am, weeks later... No memory foam in sight! And I haven't even asked my husband's opinion. For the record, he hasn't complained, which basically means he likes it. I have no idea how the mattress does it, but I've been sleeping really, really well - no tossing and turning or waking up periodically throughout the night. I fall asleep quickly and wake up in the same position hours later. I had no idea how not-well-rested I was feeling until now. It's been amazing. Only time will tell if the experience continues, but I am feeling extremely optimistic. This isn't the outcome I expected, but I am so happy that the mattress has completely defied my expectations! One final note that I must throw in, even though it's completely irrelevant: the mattress is gorgeous! The deep blue with pattern... I'm sad that it has to be covered up; it fits the Lux Estate name perfectly.

My son owned a Cassette Luxery Ultra Plush which was no longer offered so when I called Stearns & Foster they advised me to buy the Lux Estate Pillowtop Soft. The customer service representive told me to try and find a store that carried that mattress before finalizing my order and to try it out. I found the mattress and brought my son along to see if it was comparable to his mattress and we both agreed that it was. I paid for my order and was so excited to receive it. I placed the order in mid June and it was delivered on July 3'd. The first thing that I noticed was that the mattress had a Sealy tag attached to it and I even questioned the guys who delivered it but they were unable to answer my questions. I knew that I ordered it from Stearns & Foster and they take pride on making your mattress so they say. The next thing I did was to lay on the mattress and I knew immediately that it wasn't the same that I laid on in the store. I called customer service several times and they advised me to walk on the mattress to make it softer. The next time they told me that my mattress was firm because of the temperture in my house. In the end they told me to try a featherbed to break it in and when that didn't work I bought a three inch gel mattress topper. After poor customer service I'm stuck with a mattress that cost a lot and is poor quality. My message to anyone who is considering on buying this mattress is just don't waste your money! I had a problem and customer service hung up on me several times before getting someone to help me. Because of them and their advice I have a firm mattress that I'm highly dissatisified with. I saved up to buy a mattress like my son had because I have pemanent muscle spasms but I feel like I'm laying on a brick pile. I'm using the gel topper so I can at least tolerate it. It's by far the most expensive mistake that I have ever made!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a 76-year-old male and a 62-year-old female, we have noticed improved comfort while lying on the mattress; sounder sleep. Do to its firm support it is easier to move around on the bed. We do greatly enjoy the new mattress.

I suffer with low back pain, but even after 1 sleep on this matress, I could move better & think clearer because I slept so good! When I read about this mattress having a cooling technology, I really didn't believe it, until I slept on it. I did not get overheated during the night, which was amazing because we leave out thermostat a little warmed than the downstatirs, so it was a win for me! My only complaint (if any) is that it seemed to hold in body heat, so some nights are a little warmer. Other than that, I would recommend this mattress to anyone-especially those who suffer from back or joint pain. It allows the body to decompress from a hard day and remain in that position. It also does not have a lot of movement-allowing my spouse to toss and turn while I sleep soundly or vice versa.

I have slept more comfortably and soundly than I did before. The mattress is very firm and doesn't sink, it's reliable and supportive. It's best for back or stomach sleepers as it is a very firm mattress. My husband is a large man and we've found this has supported both of our weights comfortably while not sagging or dipping. The mattress stays very cool even on these hot summer nights. It is very heavy so there's no moving it without strong help. Overall, the mattress is made soundly with breathable material that has helped us stay cool as well as no sag in the material. I would recommend this product for the firmness, quality and how well it breathes and stays cool.

This has not been what I was hoping for after spending all this money! I have the pillow top firm and it is lumpy in the middle and sinks where you sleep and only had this one month! I believe this is the worst I have ever slept on and hopefully can get something else! Sales lady talked me into a firm which I normally hate!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First lets start off that this is an absolutely beautiful mattress, expensive but beautiful. But getting straight to it, for the price, the craftmanship should be wayyyy better. There were tons of stray threads all over the mattress which to me is unacceptable for the price. There are "nooks/divots" all over the mattress which can be slightly uncomfortable if your used to your traditional smooth mattress. I especially don't like this feature around the edges of the mattress because when you sit at the edge of the bed it feels like it is sinking in but it is not. When it comes to the comfort of the bed I received the medium pillow top. My mattress before was a firm and I would rotate using a memory foam topper ever 6 months. The first 2 weeks on this mattress was an absolute nightmare! I could not fall asleep, tossed and turned and woke up with constant back pain. For reference I am 5'9 200+ lbs and sleep alone so I had tons of room to roam on the mattress. By week 3 I was sleeping through the night and since then, every night is the best sleep I have ever had! You will have to break in this mattress which is a bit disappointing due to the price. The mattress is firm but still comfy, soft and welcoming without feeling suffocated. I attribute this to the pillow top giving added comfort. There is no noise (squeaks) when getting on/off the mattress and movement does not transfer if you are sharing the mattress with a child or partner. The mattress does sit quite high on the box spring but I like that since I am tall myself. I've had it for 2 months and it is holding up well, no sagging or anything. I expect this mattress to last a lifetime!

It has been very comfortable and my lower back thanks me! I do feel the mattress sleeps warmer that our last mattress but it's not a deal breaker. I am haven't noticed any sag yet and I'm hoping it stays that way. All in all it's a nice upgrade!

I recently purchased my queen size mattress in early December 2022. It was delivered a week later and I found my first night and every night since then sleep sound and extremely comfortable! I highly recommend this brand of mattress. My first one 20 years ago was a Stearns & Foster and I won't switch to another brand. Thank you!
