[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sitting to get onto the mattress, it sinks and you feel like your going to slide off---------then, when first lying down its very lumpy feeling ,like my old mattress, once in sleeping position , it starts to get better feeling. At the price I paid , It's not worth the money. I should of gone to some stores and tried lying on some other mattresses. My mistake!!! Also, I don't feel any cooling effect as it states ! This is the third week since it was delivered. And ,what Hybrid does for the feel, I sure don't know. Again , I surely should of tried laying on some other mattresses ! ! !

I am a 120 lb side sleeper so I purchased the Posturepedic Plus Hybrid Soft - Queen after reading numerous reviews and recommendations for side sleepers as well as taking the quizzes. It is defintely soft but I'm not sure that it is supportive enough. I wake up just as sore as I did with my old mattress. Also, it is incredibly hot and that is coming from someone who doesn't like to be cold. I haven't had a mattress with foam before and I know they retain heat, but I purchased the plus to reduce this problem.

Now we've been sleeping on the mattress for 5 nights and aren't impressed. Why do we have to have foam layers on top of springs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hybrid firm mattress allows for a restful night's sleep. Appears to be well made. My issue is that it's very difficult to get the bedding on the mattress. The mattress is dense, heavy and not bendable at all. It takes both of us to get the fitted sheet on and to lift the end of the mattress to get the sheet and blanket tucked in. I was not expecting this challenge and am currently in the yes/no position of returning it. We are both active seniors, but each week we struggle. In hindsight, perhaps we should have researched this type of mattress further, but we couldn't find a retailer in our area. The on-line purchase experience with Sealy was easy and delivery was within a very reasonable time frame. The delivery service provider was efficient with the set up the new product and removal of the old.

The best past is no back pain whatsoever. The firm mattress is supportive but doesn't cause undue discomfort on pressure points.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this mattress (firm 14" queen Posturepedic Plus Hybrid) for three months and I've slept very well on it. The firmness is exactly right for me and the hybrid nature allows for enough cushion that it doesn't feel like a plank. My bed is my favourite place to relax, it's that comfy. The only thing I'm not happy about is the cooling aspect. I'm waking up feeling heat pooled under me. I find that I'm throwing off my covers at night (nighttime temps are in the mid- to high 30s Fahrenheit) more often than I used to - and this is with light cotton sheets and a light blanket and no heat on (often with an open window). My previous mattress was a cotton futon. I'd say this mattress is about equal to that as far as heat dissipation goes. We're still in winter so it's not a huge issue now but I'm not sure how this will play out in the summer. All in all, though, I'm pretty happy with this mattress.

I selected this bed after trying every single bed in two mattress stores. I chose it based on my health conditions of hyper-mobility, multiple herniated discs, and POTS. An adjustable bed is pretty essential for these conditions. I previously tried an all memory foam bed, different brand, and it was horrible. The pros of this bed are: - Provides just enough support that no part of my body sinks more than another part - My shoulders do not rotate in while sleeping - I only need two flat pillows under my knees to reduce lower back strain - There is enough cushion that I do not have joint pain from a firm bed and no longer need memory foam - Even though I still have not found a good pillow, my neck and shoulder pain has reduced I don't have any negatives to give about the bed. Do I wake up completely pain free? No. But I'm not sure any bed could accomplish that; what I am sure of is that there is a noticeable difference in the amount of pain I'm in.
