Customer reviews for Sealy Posturepedic Plus Brenham Firm Hybrid Mattress forThis is a great mattress
We purchased the Sealy Hybrid Copper II and we love it. It is extremely comfortable. We have gone through 3 mattresses in the last 6 years and finally found one that makes us feel good when we wake up in the morning. We also purchased the adjustable base. What a great addition. Get one you will not regret it. It wonderful to sit up in bed and watch TV.
Sealy Hybrid Trust II - King
Received my new mattress 1 week ago and am loving it! I originally had a queen and the original Trust mattress, but after having 2 children, a larger bed was needed for when they came into the bed. Since I loved the original Trust mattress, I figured the best mattress would be the newer version. The bed sleeps wonderfully! I sleep all over the place, but mainly on my side. What is really nice about it is your motion does not get transferred to the other person(s) on the bed with you, so you are less likely to wake them.
Firm comfortable and supportive
Excellent support and comfortable. Less tossing and turning at night. Could lay in bed all day and not get a pain anywhere in my entire body. Contours and has good response to body movement. Perfect when sleeping on my back, side or even my stomach which I do on rare occasions. the cooling top layer seems to warm up quickly and The matters seems to get a little hot overnight compared to my previous All memory foam mattress. I feel it could use more breathability technology. This is the only reason I took off a star. Otherwise I Love this mattress very much and I'm happy with my decision.
Comfy, with Support - Some Concerns
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had not bought a new mattress in quite a few years. This one is like an old school spring mattress with memory foam on top. The whole thing was 13" where our old one was only 8" It's really quite comfortable. It says it has medium support but I would say it might run slightly more to the soft side. The top has a very thick soft layer of foam but underneath there is support. It's supposed to have some cooling properties and while it's not hot, I do not detect any specific cooling effect. Maybe because we have an extra sheet under the bedding to help protect the mattress. One thing I do like is that when you sit on it it feels like a spring mattress and not just foam. I do not like all foam mattresses so I really like the supportive feel of what is under the foam layer. I read that this bed has extra support in the center so two people do not roll together. I would say it does a good job of that. It does not tend to sink down in the middle which is a good thing. We put this on the old box spring from our old mattress. We put the box spring right on the floor and this mattress has enough height that it looks like it's on a frame when you make up the bed. The cover of the mattress is a dark color which to me seems a little odd for bedding. I sort of wish it was lighter so I did not have to put something white over it to make it so the dark does not show through. I guess though that does make it a little bit resistant to the look of any stains. I do wonder over time how long this mattress will last. In the past we have always had a regular spring mattress and a separate memory foam topper. The thing about memory foam is that it breaks down faster than springs, so I could see this in a few years showing it's age on the topper. Since it's all one piece it's not like you can just replace the topper. The cover feels to me a little loose on the top already and I wonder if over time it will look even more out of shape. I realize I've brought up a lot of points of concern here but we really do love the mattress and the comfort level. I just have some concerns about how long this is going to last without feeling like the top portion has lost it's shape. Overall it's great right now, I'm just a little concerned about the top portion failing early and as a result having to replace the entire thing earlier than just a spring mattress. Still as it is right now it's very comfy and gives enough support to get a good nights sleep and wake up feeling rested and comfortable. It's way better than what we were sleeping on. Thanks for reading my review
Disappointing Customer Support
I've been struggling with them for the last 2 hours and counting! For starters when I call b/c I have questions on products, I am on hold for 30 minutes, so I put a call back number in and it takes another 20 minutes. Once someone does answer, I'm instantly transferred to the most apathetic sales rep I have ever encountered. All the while I used the chat support, which you may as well not waste your time b/c they do not know what they're doing nor have any impact to make any changes and then just kick you right back to the 30 minute hold time number. Quite annoying to say the least. When I finally reach a decision, no thanks to the team over at Sealy, the godforsaken promo codes wont work so I have to go back through the entire system yet again and am still awaiting a call back. What should've been a 1/2 hour, hour tops has dragged on.
Terrible Experience
Not a year old and the top foam is folding in all around the outer edge. It seems like it's shrinking...as if the wrong size foam was used when making it. An independent furniture inspection company came out and recommended a replacement. THE WARRANTY WAS NOT HONORED. I'm stunned. At this price point, nothing should go wrong within a year's time! 10 year warranties must be a scam. Never saw an issue like this one with any mattress...not even the cheap ones I purchased as a young adult just starting out. Big time buyer's remorse.
A week in and still loving it
When looking for a mattress we struggled with the comfort vs price. Being that we both like medium firm (he likes more firm and me a bit softer), we settled between this matress and the Serta iseries. Though the Serta was a few hundred dollars cheaper, we both agreed that we loved the feel of this mattress more and the reviews were more positive for this. To address two of the most common negative reviews on this bed.. #1 being the smell. Yes, it does give off a slight odor, however, this will happen with absolutely any mattress and it isn't harmful (to my knowledge) to your health. We aired it out for a day and made sure to try and break it in with our knees and elbows (helps break up any odor bubbles possibly in the mattress). A week later I can still faintly smell the odor when you take off the mattress protector and sheets. So if you are sensitive to this, this is something to consider. Secondly, some reviews complained about the firmness of the mattress. We were told that all new mattresses will be more firm than what you try in stores (obviously broken in). However, we both feel that the mattress feels EXACTLY like it did in the store. It conforms so well to your body and helps you really stay in line. This made us happy since the floor model had been there since the mattress came out in the store, so we think this will definitely last long. My only con to this mattress is the "chill" aspect. I would not consider this bed to be chill or help with hot sleepers due to the fact that the sheets block any cooling powers it may have. That being said this was not a major reason we purchased the mattress so it still gets 5 stars for us! Hope this helps!
Sleeping in luxury
Upon moving into new apartment I knew I had to get a comfortable bed. That's exactly what this mattress has provided. It does not squeak. It's solid. The plush hybrid contours well around my body providing ultimate comfort. My back does not hurt regardless of what side I'm sleeping on. And lastly, when my partner moves on his side I'm not rolling into him and our sleep is not interrupted when eaither of us get out of bed. Some people love going to hotels for luxury sleep. I'm happy that I can get mine at home.
Soft in all the right ways
My wife and I needed a bed that could balance both of our needs. She likes more firm and I usually go for a softer feel. The Silver Chill Plush met both of our needs and we've been sleeping great for nearly 2 months and no longer dealing with back pain like we had been previously. Overall great purchase
Great night's sleep
Purchased 9" foundation like our old box springs, but with new mattress being 14" we maybe should have opted for the 5" foundation which would still had made our new set higher than the old. Rolling out of the new bed is like stepping out of a SUV versus a sedan. At our age, that is not a bad thing. The foundation height is just something to consider regarding your overall height preference. Compared to the other hybrid mattress we seriously considered that friends highly recommended, I can not image any significantly better feel or sleep at twice the price. What we spent was still a lot, but we are extremely pleased.
