Works fantastic at keeping the sun and heat out! But it does not let a lot of air flow through. I installed over an upstairs window. Keeps the room cool, but when a breeze comes it has to be retracted up. Not a big deal but probably the only question i would have asked someone else who owns one.

Love these blinds. I bought 2 blinds to go in a corner area of my lanai and loved them so well i went back and bought 3 more to enclose our whole lanai area.

I bought this for my lanai and immediately after one got put on the room felt cooler. I guess thats why the call it a coolaroo. it works and looks good

This outdoor roller shade exceeded my expectations! The 8’ x 8’ size provides great coverage and significantly reduces glare and heat without completely blocking the view. The pewter color looks modern and blends beautifully with our outdoor space. Installation was straightforward, and the hardware feels sturdy and well-made. The wand operation is smooth and easy to use — much more convenient than dealing with cords. It rolls up and down evenly and stays in place without sagging. For the price, the quality is impressive. It instantly made our patio more comfortable and usable during sunny afternoons. I would absolutely purchase this again!

Had purchased 4 of these previously. However, NOT the same roller shade. The ones I purchased before (+$20.00 more) had valances. Shade fabric much heavier/dense. The quality of the roller shade is just NOT the same. Unfortunately, we just installed it before I realized all of the differences. The lack of valance was obvious immediately. Other qualities obvious after installation. The display case DID have on it that there was a valance - but there wasn't (double checked display description next time I was at Sam's). Really disappointed, and also informed Coolaroo previously about disappointment in the quality.

Love the price, do not like the quality. It is not a privacy blind at all. Would not purchase this item again.
