I recently started using this and I'm a big moisturizer critic. I have been using other products, focusing on those that feel light, don't have the terrible chemical smell to them, and don't end up clogging my pores. I was really impressed by the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel and how smooth my skin has been feeling. Not only that, it doesn't feel like it cakes on or sits on the surface of the skin. Instead, it's absorbed quickly and makes my skin feel tighter and smoother all at once. I received this product for free from Influenster for testing purposes, but the opinions here are all my own!

I'm pleased with the performance of Neutrogena's Hydro Boost Water Gel. Although I don't find it does much to reverse fine facial lines and wrinkles, it does help my skin feel very soft and smooth. It also reduces the tightness of my dry skin so that my face feels more comfortable. Within five minutes of application, I feel a noticeable difference in my skin texture. My face becomes soft, smooth, and the itchy dryness disappears. This lasts for several hours. The roughness on my cheeks is totally gone. Gone! The texture is light, somewhere between a gel and a cream. It is not stiff or gooey like a typical gel, and it does not feel greasy like a cream. I've never used anything quite like it. It doesn't take much, and it dissolves completely within minutes. I love that there is no sticky residue and that it does not leave my skin shiny. My face "breathes" through it and does not get sweaty with minimal activity as with all other creams. One of the unexpected benefits that I absolutely love is the effect on makeup application. I use a cream to powder one step compact, and if I use Hydro Boost first, it glides on smoothly and stays fresher throughout the day. No more dry or flaky powder patches. As I've aged I've noticed that foundations and powders tend to accentuate in my lines and wrinkles instead of covering them. Using Hydro Boost prevents this from happening. My biggest pet peeve with heavy moisturizers is just that, that they feel heavy. I hate the feeling of having something on my face that feels obvious that it's there, whether because it feels greasy or heavy on your skin, but this feels like you've got nothing on at all while really doing what it promises!

What I found most unique is the texture! It doesn't have that lotion-y feel to it and instead felt so clean as it just melted into my skin. I used it everyday all over until I ran out! I tested Neutrogena Hydro Boost water gel for free, but my opinions are my own.

I have to say this left my skin soft and supple. I have combo oily/normal skin and it is really difficult for me to find something that will moisture but not make my skin oily. This product balanced my skin out so my all of my skin was highly moisturized but it didn't break me out or get me greasy. What an amazing product, I have replaced my other moisturize with this one because it is leaving my skin soft , bright and supple. I am so happy that I used this it has saved my skin issues. I can even epwear this under makeup without it looking oily, my foundation liquid stays put and also my powders look perfect not clinging to dry patches. Bonus it did not break me out which is such a relief. I would highly recommed . I LOVE it. I love that it is a gel and not a lotion. It's very light and has an amazing scent. I love how it leaves my face so soft and it absorbs very quickly. This is one moisturizer that I will continue to purchase. It's wonderful.

I love using this moisturizer after washing my face in the morning or before bed. It goes on smooth, and isn't greasy or shiny at all. It also has a really nice, subtle scent to it. It prevents my face from feeling tight or looking flaky. Now that I see how much it retails for, I'm not sure I'd pay full price for it, but I do enjoy the product.

I received the product for review purposes but my opinion is not skewed any differently bc I received it for free. First of all the packaging is very nice. When opening it up you'll notice that it definitely has a watery consistency which makes sense bc it is a gel. The first thing I noticed is that is smells great! It as a very refreshing spa kinda of smell to it but its not too much to over power you. Now I do have normal to dry skin and overall I dont think this moisturizing enough to use as your night cream. But I do think this a great moisturizer to use as your day cream, right before you put on your makeup. And actually bc this absorbs very quickly its perfect to apply before your makeup. Overall its a good product for the day, however your extremely dry then I dont think this will cut it for you.

I've been using it on my skin after my regular skin care routine and my skin so incredibly soft after using it. I have also been applying it to my son's face and arms. He has keratosis pilaris and it leaves his skin extremely dry. Since using this water gel his skin has become softer. He loves to put it on after his bath. It smells light and soft and the texture is the best consistency. I love that a little bit goes a long way. I thought the texture of this moisturizer was really innovative and left my skin feeling hydrated without being sticky however I found myself only applying at night because it was missing sun protection as it has no SPF. Would prefer to wear this during the day because it feels so nice but its no the product for me because it doesn't meet my basic sun protection requirement.
