With the summer/heat, I don't think how much I realized how much my skin was craving hydration. Neutrogena's Hydro Boost Water Gel not only gave a boost of hydration to my skin, but it lasted the whole day, had a light but not too heavy scent, and easily absorbed into my skin. I also appreciate that it paired well with other products I use and didn't irritate my skin.

This one by Neutrogena is the first one I've tried, and I absolutely love it! I sometimes use it at night before bed, or in the morning before applying makeup. If my face is feeling extra dry in the morning then this a must for me before make up! If you're new to gel moisturizes, I would highly recommend giving this one a try

The cream is very thin and water based so it applies like a gel moisturizer. I was surprised that it had blue dye and fragrance in it. It seemed so unnecessary for a skincare product. I've really come to know this brand as a gentle brand for sensitive skin. I will be more careful about what products I choose from them in the future. I did see that there is a fragrance free version of this product so I will try that. The cream burned my face a little the first time I used it because of the added fragrance. I did find it leaves my face very soft and plump. I have only been using it in the morning because of the irritation. It did not make my breakouts worse or better.

The texture of this gel is the most desired feature which is so cooling, not greasy and so absorbing. You feel hydrated right away after applying it. The reason I gave it 4 stars as the hydrating effect won't last too long so I can't use it as an primary overnight moisturizer, but if we use it during day time and apply every 4 hours, it will be a very good choice
