Smart Scale Positively Reinforces Progress

Purchased the Smart Scale at the recommendation of a Friend who had one and am very happy with it. The extra detailed information on body fat compostition and atuomatic upload of the data which crosses into MyFitnessPal app is helpful. I wish I had purchased earlier.

Best scale on the market

I love this scale it provides information about your body composition and all types of added features!!If you want your body fat to be as accurate as possible use a set of calibers and the scale will automatically start calculating your fat percentage!I will say I'm all in on the Garmin eco system!!Thanks for another great product.

Nice tool

Gramin S2 smart scale is an accurate scale, works great with Garmin environment. Body fat percentage seems off but if your goal is to monitor your progress will be sufficient. If you are not using Garmin platform, though, there are many other cheaper options.

Good scale to integrate into Garmin system

The Garmin scale is an aesthetically pleasing, seemingly accurate scale that has been well worth the moderate price. If you are into tracking your fitness with Garmin smart watches or fitness trackers, this automatically updates your stats to better track your progress. I recommend for all levels of fitness, especially if you have quantified goals. I'm unsure about the accuracy of body fat percentages, however the scale is limited by the method of measuring only from your feet. This is not the most precise method, but it's nice for what it is and I wouldn't want one that is more bulky for more accuracy.

Very Difficult to Add second user

We tried to add my wife to this scale and at this point she is still not added. We had to disconnect me as the primary user and add her, but then I was out. No response from Garmin yet and I did all the troubleshooting per the manual…it shouldn’t be this hard. If garmin would respond or fix it, I would reconsider this review.

Great scale, poor integration

Seems to measure well and accurately. Big problem is that it only syncs to Garmin connect via wifi using older 2.4 ghz bandwidth. You’ll find lots of posts online from people having trouble connecting their scale. Ridiculous that it doesn’t connect to phone/Garmin Connect via Bluetooth, or via 5ghz wifi.

Readings are unreliable

I purchased this scale to track my weight daily, which is my primary goal for my health program and my strict diet. However, when I first got the scale, it read 4 pounds heavier than my existing home scale. Then, I weighed exactly the same weight everyday for 6 days in a row; which makes no sense since I am on a strict diet and walking daily. My husband also has weighed the exact same weight 6 days in a row. Then, one morning, I weighed 2 pounds heavier from the prior day - but I ate very healthy meals with no snacks or drinks. I question the calibration of the scale and its reliability and repeatability. Then, one day, my husband weighed himself twice and was 4 pounds heavier the second time??? Can we please get a new, calibrated, reliable scale? We are very disappointed with this particular scale.

Great Time Saver + Bonus Info

Installed batteries and setup via the phone app, Scale got right on my Wi-Fi and saves me, not just a few minutes but the worry about if I logged my info or not. The extra info is a bonus that was not part of my previous tracking. Display is clear, bright and easy to read

A mediocre ite from Garmin

Sadly this dies not live up to the hype. Other scales at less than had the price have more information. the readings are all over the place. I weighed myself 3 days straight and my weight fluctuated 7 pounds up and then 5 down…. My body fat was 7% spread over the 3 days. I can’t trust that.

If you love having Garmin Connect track your life, then you'll love this

It's a stylish, accurate scale that delivers on its ability to update your weight and a few other metrics. Once connected to my wifi, it has seamlessly uploaded these metrics to my Garmin Connect. This saves me a fair amount of hand-jamming. However the metrics it gives you come with a grain of salt. Know that the electric resistance method of measuring body fat% and the other things it claims to measure. The scale essentially cannot measure anything above your waist, so all the numbers it throws at you are really only good for trend analysis when doing something like gaining or losing weight. If you want an accurate measurement, find a lab.
