Great scale with great features

Great scale, was used to the Fitbit Aria scale but the Garmin S2 scale a lot better. User friendly with Garmin Connect app. Syncs fast. Great features. Highly recommended

Great scale won’t connect to app

I bought this scale so I could keep a record of my weight. I wanted to see what was working and what was not on weight loss. The scale works great but after successfully pairing the phone to the scale nothing records. I invited my wife to use it. Following directions it paired to her app and totally removed me! They say 3rdvtimes a charm but still have same results. Scale is fine. Hard to set up and then doesn’t work with app or more than one app for wife.

Great Piece of Equipment

I use a Garmin Edge 1040 for cycling. I decided I would like to track all my health stats via the Connect app, so I purchased the Garmin Venu 4 watch and the Garmin Index S2 Smart Scale. All three of these devices sync with the Garmin Connect app and analyzes my health data. I feel this will be a huge asset to me getting healthier.

Accurate Weight, Questionable Wizardry — Worth It If You’re Team Garmin

Let’s get this out of the way: I didn’t buy this scale for the bone mass, muscle mass, or BMI estimates. I’ve done the homework, and most of that data is a polite guess—possibly wrong, definitely not medical-grade. According to the box, it sends a little zap through your tootsies to calculate your BMI, but don’t worry, you won’t feel a thing. No tingles, just numbers that may or may not mean something. What does mean something to me is the weight measurement. That part? Spot on. Reliable. I use it to track my weight trends over time, and it syncs beautifully with the Garmin Connect app—no typing, no extra steps. This is a “quality of life” purchase. If you're deep in the Garmin ecosystem and already use a Garmin watch, this saves you 10–15 seconds of manual entry per day. That might not sound like much, but if you're the kind of person who tracks their workouts, heart rate, blood pressure (with a separate Garmin product I also own—thanks, ExpertVoice), and sleep, then you’ll get it. It’s about convenience. If you’re not already living that data nerd lifestyle with Garmin, this scale won’t change your world. But if you are? It’s a clean, simple way to round out your health stats without breaking stride. Just don’t pretend you’re using it to measure your skeletal density like a NASA astronaut.

Great Scale

I've been using the Garmin Ecosystem to track my golf game and my fitness and what an addition this scale is. It fully integrates with Garmin Connect and provide not only weight but other vitals that, in connection with the data from my S70 helps me to create a game plan to stay fit. Lost 143 pounds so far, from 342 to 199 on the course of 1 year with keto, intermittent fasting and gym. The secret ingredient is to measure your vitals every single day so you can understand your body and Index S2 Smart Scale is definite tool for that goal.

Highly disappointed

I bought this scale for the smart features I figured it should work with a smartphone and my fenix7 when I got it I found out you have to have a modem and a house internet connection. I have neither so it’s just a way overpriced scale that gives your weight. And then when I tried to contact garmin to see if there is any way around this there is no contact number available

reply from Care

The Index smart scale does require a connection to a WiFi network in order to send the data to the Garmin Connect account, and there is not a workaround for this feature. Excellent features but very poor directions and he

The scale provides good data but is very confusing to operate and the manuals and online chat help are quite poor. You are supposed to be able to have multiple user but it is so confusing to change users that you end up taking weight-ins for others. I am a complete Garmin watch person but the scake is not up to standard.

No Allowance for Dexscan to update App or Scale

Just took the product out of the box and spent an hour online / AI to attempt to manually enter Dexscan data to no avail. Seems the Garmin scale will not adjust or the GUI allow truth data to be entered. So, right now nothing but an expensive scale with inaccurate body data.

Overall good scale

I like the connectivity and device as a scale. It's nice to see trends and data on the beautiful display. I also like that it's in my garmin app. I'm disappointed that the bmi doesn't seem accurate and seems based on generic metrics of height and weight.

Hard to Use

I am disappointed with two things: 1) it is hard to "wake up", often takes me several attempts. A month in I haven't gotten the hang of it. 2) It says you can have 16 other users or something like that, but fails to mention they each need a Garmin account. This feels like gatekeeping.
