Convenient, clever, and accurate*

It looks sleek, works great, connects to your WiFi to automatically update data to your garmin connect app. It's dead accurate when it comes to weight measurements. I did a side by side with my calibrated wrestling slide scale. I don't know how accurate it is with water %, bone mass, fat% etc. It seems to fluctuate from reading to reading. Maybe do a hydro static body comp and compare?

Looks better and better screen

Looks better and better screen, however, it is much slower than the S1 making its calculations etc ... Hooking it up to the WiFi was a breeze - so much so that it was worth the upgrade just for this! My last one ate batteries ata rate of 4 a day - so I hope this one keeps them going a bit longer!!

Good scale with a major caveat...

Really like the connectivity of the Index S2 - works great with WiFi and populates all the information into the Garmin Connect app BUT the body fat count is very inconsistent and way off. When I first got it, it was shockingly high for me, and I compared it with the InBody system and it was a full 6 percentage points lower. I see in the forums others have had the same issue.

Looks as great as it works

I'm definitely all about utility and choose function over form, but there's no denying that this scale is a handsome thing and it looks very impressive in my bathroom. Naturally, being from Garmin, it works amazingly well and fully integrates with my Garmin Connect app. It has really helped me to know more about my body and how my various workouts, activities, and dietary choices affect it. I definitely love having it and would recommend it to anybody.

Pricey Scale for Sub-Average Measurements

After having this for over 2 weeks and comparing with scales at 1/4 the cost, I'd have to say that this is very pricey compared to other offerings, especially as the Fat % seems to be way overblown. While other scales put me at way lower values this one seems very high. The primary reason for getting this or the more cheaper options is the automated Garmin Connect integration which helps me to track my weight and other stats over time.

Works like a charm!

I purchased this scale hoping to track all the metrics that the InBody scale does at my gym. And it is amazing! I love that it can track both myself and my wife using two different Garmin accounts. And I also love that it updates Garmin Connect over WiFi so I do not need my phone to run the app. This scale does everything that it advertises and I am hooked!

Great data

Overall the scale is awesome. I like that it detects the multiple users based on weight. It’s easy to track my data because it connects to the app. The only thing that could improve is that it takes a few seconds to turn on when I want to weigh myself.

Body fat way off (I hope)

I love the looks, the connectivity, the ease of use and I’m confident the weight is correct. However, the algorithms or whatever it is they use for body fat percentage is wonky. I’m a fit 120 lb 5 foot 5 female who bikes and runs with plenty of intensity 8-12 hours a week currently. My body fat on the Garmin compared to an inexpensive body fat scale and a medical grade one used for health assessments is approximately 5-7% higher. Now I know I’m in my mid 40s and have plenty body fat but I think to be at the upper end of normal/lower end of obese is not accurate for my build or activity level. I’d like to know how that metric is calculated.

Not accurate

Scale is off by quite a bit on body fat % and weight. I figured going into this the body fat% would be off but not the weight. Only reason I bought this is due to the garmin app recommending it for more accurate overall health stats. Do not buy this piece of junk. And do not like that Garmin basically makes you buy this to assist in heath data.
